Sharing in the exciting and heroic atmosphere of the nation, journalists have also gone through a year of working with great effort and achieved many successes.
In the past few days, reporters and journalists have not been afraid of danger and difficulties to rush into work in the harsh flood-hit areas of the Central region of our country, promptly bringing the most authentic information and images at the scene, about the relief work and overcoming the consequences of the flood. The journey of reporters and journalists over the past year has been one of perseverance, dedication, enthusiasm and creativity to bring articles, films, sounds and vivid images about the picture of agriculture, farmers and rural areas of Vietnam.

Nearly 1,900 works from hundreds of press agencies nationwide participated in the contest and more than 480 writing contest entries explored the 95-year tradition of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union. Each work is a topic analyzing the results, limitations, and hottest issues facing agriculture, farmers, and rural areas today; at the same time, proposing solutions to overcome them through actions, through specific mechanisms and policies.
“Through the contest summary, we realized that: Reporters, journalists, and press agencies have always accompanied and stood side by side with farmers and the Vietnamese peasant class throughout the past period, especially in 2025 with many difficulties and challenges. At every time and event, we always received the attention, companionship, and timely presence of the press,” said Mr. Luong Quoc Doan.
The Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union added that most of the works closely followed the breath of life and the transformation of the country to enter a new era. In particular, the works showed a strong picture of "digital transformation" through writing style and presentation in line with the theme of this year's season, which is "Breakthrough in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in agriculture and rural areas" in accordance with the content of Resolution 57 of the Politburo.

The works have performed well in the role of "policy communication", specifically policies on green agricultural transformation, circular economy towards rapid and sustainable development. The works have diverse and rich content, painting a panoramic picture of the strong development of agriculture in the recent period, contributing to the country's socio-economic growth target at a high level and reaching the double-digit mark in the coming years.
Not only reflecting the positive aspects, the journalistic works in this contest also demonstrate the spirit of fighting against the negative aspects in agriculture and rural areas such as deforestation; the problem of trading and hunting of wild and rare animals; counterfeit and fake goods in agriculture, forestry and fisheries... thereby contributing to the fight and timely prevention of violations that negatively affect society, contributing to protecting sustainable agricultural production, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of farmers.
“The journalistic works participating in this year's awards have performed well in their role of social supervision and criticism with many articles, radio and television programs that delve into reflecting and analyzing the difficulties in mechanisms and policies for agriculture, farmers and rural areas such as issues of science and technology application; capital, credit, agricultural insurance, etc. At the same time, the organization solicited opinions, suggestions, and contributions to help state management agencies promptly come up with solutions and policies to promptly resolve them for the development of agriculture; the prosperity and happiness of farmers and a civilized and affectionate countryside,” Mr. Luong Quoc Doan emphasized.
