Strengthening the promotion of Vietnamese-Chinese culture and tourism through the red journey of history and tea culture

On May 21, 2025 in Hanoi, the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam coordinated with the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam; the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China); and the Chinese Cultural Center in Hanoi to organize a tea culture and tourism exchange program called "World Harmonious Tea - Nha Tap 2025". At the same time, launching the "Vietnam - China Friendship Red Journey in Guangxi following the footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh".

The highlight of the program is the announcement of the tourist route "Vietnam-China Red Friendship Journey in Guangxi following the footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh".

This is an activity within a series of events celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025.

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission, President of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association; Mr. Ha Vi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Vietnam; Ms. Lam Lam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Zhuang Autonomous Region (Guangxi, China) and leaders of departments under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam.

According to Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi, China and Vietnam are two close neighbors, connected by mountains and rivers, close friends, trusted partners and comrades with the same ideals and a shared future. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and is also the Year of China-Vietnam Humanitarian Exchange, which was jointly established by the leaders of the two countries.

Guangxi's organization of a delegation to Vietnam to carry out the event to promote World Harmonious Tea - Nha Tap, is not only a practical action to realize the high-level common awareness between the two Parties and two countries, but also a vivid manifestation of inheriting the traditional friendship and promoting the connection between the two peoples.

Ambassador Ha Vi emphasized that the announcement of the tourist route "Vietnam-China Red Friendship Journey in Guangxi following the footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh" is a specific activity to inherit the tradition of friendship and enhance people-to-people exchange.

Guangxi is not only a land famous for its beautiful natural landscapes and rich folk culture, but is also a "red land" bearing many marks of President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh affirmed that Vietnam and China are two neighboring socialist countries, mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers, with traditional friendship, sharing revolutionary ideals and development interests. In the common cultural flow, tea is a typical beauty, expressing the depth of history and national identity of both countries.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association spoke at the event.

The President of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association expressed his hope that the two sides would use the cup of tea as a symbol of solidarity, persistently cooperate in friendship, promote strategic vision and continue to deepen humanitarian cooperation, contributing to enhancing understanding and building the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future.

The Vietnam-China Friendship Association will continue to accompany and support exchange activities and promote comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Within the framework of the program, the announcement of the tourist route "Vietnam-China Red Journey of Friendship Following in the Footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh" in Guangxi took place solemnly.

This is an opportunity to re-enact important milestones in the revolutionary journey of the beloved leader who visited Guangxi many times in the process of finding a way to save the country, building a revolutionary movement and laying the foundation for the Vietnam-China friendship.

The historical tourist route following President Ho Chi Minh's footsteps not only contributes to educating the tradition of patriotism and fostering friendship between the people of the two countries, but also opens up a direction for sustainable development of cultural-historical tourism, associated with heritage and humanistic values.

Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Phuong Hoa assessed that China's tea culture is an important part of the long-standing and massive cultural heritage of Chinese civilization. It is not simply a habit of enjoying a drink, but more importantly, it reflects the philosophy of life, aesthetics, rituals and social values ​​of the Chinese people.
