On the evening of December 5, the 189th Naval Brigade launched a fundraising campaign to support military families and relatives in areas affected by floods. Lieutenant Colonel Ha Van Ty - Deputy Political Commissar of the brigade chaired the launch.

At the launching ceremony, the brigade leader informed about the severe damage caused by floods to the people in the South Central region and the families of soldiers and their relatives in recent times. From there, he called for the cooperation and timely support of groups and individuals in the entire brigade, contributing to helping the people, soldiers and their relatives overcome difficulties soon.

Immediately after the call, officers and soldiers in the entire brigade actively responded. The donated money will be used to help the soldiers and their families who suffered losses, with a portion transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province to help people stabilize their lives soon. Previously, the brigade donated some necessities to provide immediate support to the families of soldiers and organized two visits and gifts to the people who suffered heavy losses right after the historic floods.
