FUTA Bus Lines will deploy 4 45-seat vehicles and 6 16-seat vehicles, all manufactured in 2025.
On June 30, the Public Transport Management Center (HCMC Department of Construction) issued a document announcing a plan to organize free transportation for officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers working at Party, State, Fatherland Front agencies, socio -political organizations, and public service units in the city, expected to be implemented from July 1, 2025.
Accordingly, to ensure maximum efficiency for the new service, the Center has proactively conducted surveys and worked closely with transport units as well as contacted the Department of Construction of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau to survey the operating route. The pick-up and drop-off plan has been completed, including determining pick-up and drop-off locations along the route.
Previously, on June 27, the Center sent a document to 16 potential transport units, inviting them to participate in providing services. In particular, on June 30, the Center organized a meeting with transport units to agree on a plan. During this meeting, Phuong Trang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company (FUTA Bus Lines) proposed to support free transportation costs within 3 months, starting from July 1, 2025 or until the price plan and transport unit are officially selected according to regulations.
On that basis, the Center proposed that the Department of Construction agree on a plan to sign a contract to provide transportation services with FUTA Bus Lines in the initial phase, especially when the Department of Finance is developing a pricing plan and payment instructions.
Accordingly, the subjects of transportation are cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers working at Party, State, Fatherland Front agencies, socio-political organizations, and public service units in Ho Chi Minh City.
Transportation route: Binh Duong - Ho Chi Minh City route and vice versa; Ba Ria - Vung Tau - Ho Chi Minh City route and vice versa.
FUTA Bus Lines will deploy 4 45-seat vehicles and 6 16-seat vehicles, all manufactured in 2025. These vehicles will have a "contract vehicle" badge and be identified by a "CIVIL OFFICIAL AND SERVANT SHUTTLE VEHICLE" information board on the windshield.
The vehicles are guaranteed to be of high quality, equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi supporting 2.4GHz and 5GHz, ensuring connection of multiple devices and serving the operating system. The drivers have appropriate licenses and experience in passenger transportation.
To ensure effective operation, the Public Transport Center recommends that the Department of Construction coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs to implement vehicle registration. At the same time, it is recommended that the Department of Construction inform departments and branches about this service from July 1, 2025 so that officials and civil servants know and use it.
An important issue emphasized by the Traffic Center is the need to adjust traffic signs on Le Loi and Le Thanh Ton streets. Currently, these streets prohibit passenger cars with more than 16 seats from circulating, which may affect access to the City People's Committee area. Therefore, the Traffic Center recommends that the Department of Construction direct the Road Traffic Infrastructure Management Center to add an exception sign with the content "Except for shuttle vehicles for employees to work at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee" and send a document to the Traffic Police Department (Ho Chi Minh City Police) to support and facilitate shuttle vehicles.
