The State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises has decided to transfer and appoint the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO), formerly the National Electricity System Dispatch Center (A0).
From August 8, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong - Member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) - was transferred and appointed to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of NSMO. Mr. Cuong is the legal representative as stipulated in the charter of organization and operation of NSMO, replacing Mr. Nguyen Duc Ninh - Acting General Director.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong was born in 1972, his hometown is Ha Nam . He was introduced as one of the first generation of engineers of A0 since 1993, then worked at agencies of EVN and National Power Transmission Corporation.
In 2015, Mr. Cuong was appointed as Director of A0, and officially held the position of Member of EVN Board of Directors from February 2020.

On August 1, the Prime Minister issued a decision to separate A0 from EVN and proposed to establish NSMO under the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises.
NSMO is a state-owned enterprise in which the State holds 100% of the charter capital, organized under the model of a one-member limited liability company with the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises as the owner's representative agency.
NSMO has a charter capital of 776 billion VND at the time of establishment, will perform the task of being the national power system dispatching unit, operating electricity market transactions according to the provisions of the Electricity Law and related laws.
NSMO inherits all rights, obligations and legitimate interests of A0 that A0 and EVN are performing related to A0 according to the provisions of law.
After separating and establishing NSMO, the right to represent the state capital owner at NSMO will be transferred from the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises to the Ministry of Industry and Trade .
Today (August 12), the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises will hold a conference to sign the minutes of the handover of the National Power System Dispatch Center from this agency to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
