Software Park No. 2 approved by the Government for expansion

On the afternoon of October 22, the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City announced that Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed Decision No. 1238/QD/TTg (dated October 22, 2024), approving the expansion of the Concentrated Information Technology Park Software Park No. 2 in Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District to ensure the implementation of the functions and tasks of the Concentrated Information Technology Park (stipulated in Article 4 of Decree No. 154/2013/ND-CP (dated November 8, 2013 of the Government).

According to Decision No. 1238/QD/TTg (dated October 22, 2024) of the Prime Minister , along with the total approved area of expansion of 28,573 m2; enterprises implementing information technology projects at Da Nang Software Park No. 2 are entitled to incentives prescribed in Decree No. 154/2013/ND-CP (dated November 8, 2013 of the Government) and other preferential policies applicable to concentrated information technology parks according to the provisions of law.

Previously, on February 1, 2024, the Government issued a Decree (No. 09/2024/ND-CP) agreeing to allow Da Nang to use the information technology infrastructure of Software Park No. 2 (the first locality to use infrastructure invested from the budget for microchip, AI and information technology enterprises to rent and use for business).

Software Park No. 2 has an investment capital of nearly 1,000 billion VND and a total area (phase 1) of more than 90,000 m2, providing working conditions for 6,000 high-quality employees, expected to be the "Silicon Beach" of Da Nang.
