At 9:00 p.m. on May 6, after meeting at the unit to assign areas and patrol routes under the direction of the unit commander, the working groups of Traffic Police Team No. 6 quickly deployed forces to organize patrols. To avoid detection by "decoy" subjects, the police moved away from the headquarters in secret.
At 10:00 p.m. in Nam Tu Liem district (near Hoai Duc district), a traffic police patrol car suddenly turned on its emergency lights and moved quickly, stopping a truck carrying wet sand.
Through a quick on-site inspection, the traffic police determined that the truck had just received goods and was on its way. The driver chose midnight because he thought it was dark and difficult to see, so he could avoid the traffic police. After more than half an hour, in the face of the traffic police's determination, the driver had to comply with the request to bring the vehicle to the weighing station for a load check. At the same time, the radio announced that another working group of Traffic Police Team No. 6 had just stopped another Howo with signs of violations that was trying to move in the dark in the Bac Tu Liem district area.
The two violating vehicles were then escorted by traffic police to the weighing station for load weighing.
However, here, drivers still try to "buy time" by calling other people to talk... in order to beg the authorities to ignore the violation, but are all refused and firmly requested to comply with the load inspection to determine the level of violation.
On inspection, these vehicles were carrying large amounts of construction site soil and construction sand, clearly overloaded and not covered as required, causing materials to spill onto the road.
A truck tire is no longer of good quality when it is worn out.
The sand truck driven by male driver HVT (born in 1994) was then weighed.
This male driver confided that he was only a hired driver, so after receiving the vehicle to pick up the goods, he did not know how much dirt the excavator driver was putting into the truck and whether it was overloaded or not. Today was also his first day working as a truck driver.
The results showed that it was 30% overloaded.
Speaking to CAND Newspaper reporters, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien, Captain of Traffic Police Team No. 6, said that currently, overloading is a common violation for freight vehicles. According to the law, the penalty for this behavior is very severe. In addition to the determination of the authorities and the heavy fines and sanctions for this violation, the awareness of traffic law compliance of business owners and truck drivers plays an important role. When participating in traffic, it is mandatory to strictly comply with traffic laws. This not only protects the lives of yourself but also of everyone.
