Thien An Cooperative (Phu Thong Commune) was selected to support digital transformation solutions under the digital transformation pilot project from 2020. The application of digital transformation in production and business activities has helped the Cooperative make a clear change. The Cooperative's market has expanded to many provinces and cities nationwide.

“Thanks to applying digital transformation, the cooperative's sales output increased 5 times, and members' income increased 3 times,” said Ms. Ly Thi Quyen, Director of Thien An Cooperative.

Through training programs on digital transformation, businesses and cooperatives in the province have been supported to set up booths on reputable e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Sendo, Lazada, Sanviet.vn... Ms. Le Thi Huong, Director of BK Foods High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative, shared: Our products are increasingly promoted on digital platforms. Thanks to that, the market is not only domestic but also reaches foreign markets thanks to digital technology.

Thai Nguyen people are gradually getting acquainted with and integrating into the digital environment through smartphones. That journey is being shortened thanks to a large-scale “technological illiteracy campaign” called “Digital Literacy Movement”. This movement was launched strongly as a campaign to eliminate technological illiteracy and popularize digital skills for local people.

Community digital technology teams were established in communes and wards across the province. The core members are union members, youth, teachers, and grassroots cadres – young people who are knowledgeable about technology and enthusiastic. They go to each house, instructing people on how to install and use the VNeID application, how to look up administrative procedures, submit documents online, make cashless payments, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dam, a resident of Dong Hy commune, said: Before, I only used my phone to make calls. After the children in the digital technology group came to guide me, I learned how to look up services, pay online, use VneID... When I went to do administrative procedures at the commune, the staff also guided me on how to submit documents online.

Improving digital capacity to support young people to have the right awareness and attitude towards digital transformation; equipping them with knowledge and skills for social communication, study, research, entertainment, work, creative startups, etc. in the context of strong digital transformation; contributing to improving the quality of young human resources in the future, increasing labor productivity and national competitiveness is also identified as one of the three breakthrough tasks of the Youth Union at present.

Ms. Nguyen Van Anh, a member of the Youth Union in Bac Kan Ward, said: Digital transformation is no longer a trend, but an essential need. Those who do not keep up will be left behind. Therefore, each member of the Youth Union must become agile, grasp technology to serve themselves and help others.

Universalizing digital skills for people is a journey to change awareness and habits, especially among the elderly, ethnic minorities, and vulnerable groups. Every small operation on the phone, from online shopping to registering for administrative procedures, is a step forward on the path to becoming a digital citizen.

Universal digital skills are not only a change in behavior but also the foundation for building a digital society - where people can access public services, digital economy, digital education... anytime, anywhere.

92 communes and wards across the province are continuing to spread the "People learn AI" movement. The province is also paying attention to perfecting mechanisms and policies to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of this movement. Accordingly, the Department of Science and Technology continues to coordinate with units to evaluate user experience, update more features, upgrade online learning platforms; integrate single login via VNeID; expand learning materials and lecture data suitable for different audiences.

Community digital technology groups promote support activities and guide people on how to operate and use digital devices to conduct transactions and register online.

Thai Nguyen is gradually realizing its goal of becoming a center of science - technology, innovation and digital transformation in the Northern Midlands and Mountains. With that policy, the province is on the way to forming a "digital society" by building digital skills for people and businesses.

When becoming digital citizens, every citizen will proactively participate in Digital Government - Digital Economy - Digital Society, helping to complete the local digital transformation roadmap.
