Phu Tho breaks through in export, affirming its position as the Homeland

After 30 years of operation, Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company (Phuc Yen Ward) has achieved many remarkable achievements with 61 suppliers, including 13 domestic enterprises; more than 1,000 components manufactured in Vietnam have been exported to more than 10 countries around the world with a total revenue of nearly 1 billion USD. In the first 8 months of 2025 alone, Toyota delivered more than 41,000 vehicles to customers, an increase of 23% over the same period in 2024.

To meet the increasing export demand, Toyota Vietnam has invested heavily in technology, production line automation and training of high-quality human resources. Currently, the company is cooperating with domestic suppliers, constantly improving the localization rate and quality of components to meet the strict standards of the international market. Mr. Nakano Keita, General Director of the company affirmed: "We are committed to continuing to accompany the domestic supporting industry, not only to serve the domestic market but also towards global export".

Currently, the whole province has about 800 export enterprises, many of which have successfully conquered high-standard markets such as the US, EU, Japan, and Korea. Main export items include: motorcycle parts, complete motorcycles, ceramic tiles, electronic components, footwear, garments, agricultural products, etc.

With a favorable geographical location near Hanoi, Thai Nguyen and major economic centers, and an increasingly complete transport infrastructure system, Phu Tho is becoming an attractive destination for investors, especially in the fields of processing, manufacturing and export industries.

In the context of the world economy recovering after the pandemic, the province has proactively and synchronously implemented many policies to support businesses such as: Cutting unnecessary administrative procedures; establishing 148 community digital technology teams to support people and businesses in performing online public services; promoting trade promotion, providing market information, training human resources and applying technology in production - logistics.

Phu Tho also promotes digital transformation and green transformation, supporting businesses to access green credit, aiming for clean production, meeting international standards. Up to now, Phu Tho has risen to rank 6th nationwide in digital infrastructure. Key industrial parks such as Thuy Van, Cam Khe, Tam Nong, Phu Ninh, Thang Long Vinh Phuc, Ba Thien II... have synchronous investment in infrastructure, clean land funds, and clear incentive policies. Thanks to that, the province has attracted a series of projects in the fields of electronics, textiles, precision mechanics, food processing and the supporting industrial ecosystem of Samsung and Apple. The province is also coordinating with YCH Group (Singapore) to deploy an Innovation Center at ICD Binh Xuyen and FPT Group to invest in a Data Center at Thang Long Industrial Park... thereby creating favorable conditions for Phu Tho to develop an innovation ecosystem and promote digital transformation.

Regarding investment promotion, provincial leaders regularly meet and work with large corporations such as Samsung (Korea), Sumitomo (Japan), Austivina Group, YCH (Singapore), Amata (Thailand), LG Energy Solution, iMarket Korea, Songshan Lake (China)... Promotion activities have been innovated, focusing on connecting with strategic investors from Korea, Japan, Singapore, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, UK and the US. The province prioritizes attracting enterprises with high technology, strong financial capacity, commitment to sustainable development, while encouraging connections between FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises, promoting technology transfer, expanding the supply and demand network at home and abroad.

In order to facilitate businesses to carry out import and export procedures, Phu Tho Customs has promoted the application of information technology, modernizing professional activities in many fields. In particular, the remote surveillance camera system installed at Thuy Van ICD Port has contributed to simplifying supervision procedures, reducing direct contact between customs officers and businesses, and at the same time better supporting the opening of tax-free declarations and non-tax collection according to regulations. Professional software has been deployed synchronously in customs clearance, tax payment, goods management, implementation of the national single window mechanism, provision of online public services, management of incoming and outgoing documents... contributing to the publicity and transparency of customs procedures, shortening customs clearance time, saving costs for businesses and limiting negativity in the process of handling public services.

Thanks to synchronous solutions, in the first 8 months of 2025, Phu Tho's export turnover reached more than 23 billion USD, rising to the 4th position in the country. In the first 9 months of 2025, the province's export is estimated to reach 26.8 billion USD, of which the group of machinery, equipment and electronic components accounts for about 22 billion USD, equivalent to 82% of the total export value of the whole province.

To continue maintaining export growth momentum and affirming its role as an industrial center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains, Phu Tho continues to promote investment procedure reform; organize supply-demand connection programs, support businesses to participate in domestic and foreign fairs and exhibitions to expand consumer markets; proactively contact and invite strategic investors; prioritize attracting green technology and high technology; closely connect FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises; effectively exploit opportunities from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that our country has signed to expand and diversify export markets, especially new and potential markets to reduce dependence on one export region; support businesses to improve their competitiveness and meet international standards.

Phu Tho is transforming strongly, not only becoming a locality with breakthroughs in exports, but also an attractive destination for quality investment capital, contributing significantly to the economic development of the region and the whole country in the period of deep integration.
