Put your faith in concrete actions.
Following the official opening of the First Session of the 16th National Assembly, voters in Hue City have placed even greater expectations on a new term with strong, groundbreaking, and practical policies. Therefore, the atmosphere at the previous voter outreach meetings went beyond simply listening to the candidates' action programs; it also became a forum for clearly expressing the demands and aspirations of the people towards their representatives in the highest power organ of the State.
During these meetings, the candidates for National Assembly representatives presented their action programs with a high sense of responsibility, clearly defining their goals, directions, and key tasks if they were to receive the voters' trust. A prominent commonality was their strong commitment: to dedicate all their abilities, passion, and experience to contributing to the work of the National Assembly, worthy of the people's trust.
Notably, these commitments are closely aligned with local realities. From socio -economic development and the preservation and promotion of heritage values to improving the investment environment and enhancing the quality of life for the people, all are addressed specifically, with clear directions. This specificity has created consensus among voters, as they see a connection between the candidate's promises and the existing issues in their lives.
With the personnel structure now complete, voters have even higher expectations and place greater trust in the role of National Assembly deputies as a "bridge" in bringing the voice of the people to the parliamentary chamber. "For me, urban issues remain a top concern, such as canal dredging, flood control, urban beautification, and environmental sanitation. Besides that, there are long-standing problems such as slow-to-resolve encroachment on public land, delayed projects, and inadequate facilities at schools and medical centers," voter Nguyen Van Tin (An Cuu ward) expressed.
Over the past period, voters have reflected on a range of practical issues concerning the socio-economic life of the city from various perspectives. Many opinions expressed a desire for the central government to pay attention to and issue specific mechanisms and policies to enable Hue to achieve breakthroughs and rapid, sustainable development. In addition, issues of daily life such as coastal erosion, estuary dredging, and lagoon tourism development are not only urgent but also closely linked to the long-term livelihoods of the people.
“We are making this proposal with the hope that it will not only stop at the macro-level policy, but also aim to solve specific, practical problems in daily life. After the arrangement and operation of the two-tiered local government model has facilitated people in carrying out administrative procedures, we also hope that officials will be closer to the people,” shared voter Nguyen Thanh (Phong Quang ward).
Policies must be "good for people's lives."
In his opening remarks at the First Session of the 16th National Assembly, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized: The National Assembly and its delegates need to continue to inherit and build upon the achievements of previous terms; while simultaneously enhancing their sense of responsibility, political acumen, innovative thinking, and legislative, supervisory, and decision-making capabilities on important national issues.
In particular, the requirement is that laws should not only be "good in writing" but also "good in real life." This is precisely what voters in Hue expect: policies, once enacted, must truly be put into practice, solve specific problems, and create tangible changes.
As the country enters a new stage of development with many intertwined opportunities and challenges, the responsibility placed on the National Assembly and each representative is immense. For Hue, the need for specific mechanisms and policies to create momentum for breakthroughs becomes even more urgent.
Representative Nguyen Hai Nam (Hue City National Assembly Delegation) affirmed that he will fully fulfill the role and responsibilities of a National Assembly representative; actively participate in building and perfecting laws in accordance with the will and aspirations of the people. At the same time, he will focus on promoting rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, while ensuring social security.
Comrade Nguyen Hai Nam also emphasized the importance of strengthening contact with voters, being subject to people's supervision; actively participating in monitoring the implementation of policies and laws; and promptly proposing solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles. Issues such as administrative reform, digital transformation, and improving the investment and business environment were identified as important priorities.
In the long-term vision, the goal is to build Hue into a smart, culturally rich heritage city; to develop a green economy, ecotourism, and high-tech agriculture; while simultaneously protecting the environment and effectively responding to climate change.
According to Nguyen Thi Suu, Deputy Head of the Hue City National Assembly Delegation, the city's National Assembly Delegation will innovate its working methods; build a team of experts and collaborators with high professional qualifications and a thorough understanding of the law to improve the quality of its activities. At the same time, it will strengthen coordination with central and local agencies; streamline the advisory apparatus, and ensure resources to effectively support the Delegation's activities.
