The Vietnam national team is actively training to prepare for the two matches with the Indonesian national team in the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. In recent days, the Vietnamese players have received many questions related to these two matches, especially the away match at Bung Karno.

However, in a recent media interview, striker Van Toan expressed his confidence in the Vietnamese national team's attack at the present time. He said that the Vietnamese team is preparing for the match against Indonesia with high concentration.

Along with Tien Linh, striker Van Toan is also one of the experienced players in the Vietnam national team. According to Van Toan, the Vietnam national team can score against Indonesia despite being under great pressure from the audience.

Van Toan said: “Competing in Indonesia is always stressful, their audience is very crowded and arrives at the stadium very early. When the team warms up, that already puts a lot of pressure. That is a disadvantage, but if we handle the game confidently in the first few beats, we will play better later on.”

The former HAGL player added: “I think each match will have many different ways of playing, I can’t say in advance because the opponent also changes many players. Currently, the team is very focused to have good preparation.

Any match is difficult to score, but I believe all my teammates can do this in the next match when there is a chance."
