On the afternoon of October 31, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (Vietnam Maritime Administration) announced that the unit had just saved the life of a sailor who suffered a stroke while working in the waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago.

Upon receiving the information, the Center requested the ship to immediately stop operating, change course to the mainland, and coordinate with the Da Nang City Emergency Center for medical advice. Through medical advice, doctors diagnosed that crew member Chi had a stroke, with a serious prognosis, so the patient needed immediate emergency care, if delayed it could lead to death.
Faced with the extremely critical condition of crew member Chi, ship QNg 98308 TS is too far from the mainland, with limited speed due to adverse weather conditions.
At 2:30 p.m. on October 30, the Center urgently dispatched SAR 412 to leave the pier to carry out the rescue mission for the crew of QNg 98308 TS. To handle the serious case, the Da Nang City Emergency Center sent a medical team and equipment to follow SAR 412 to carry out the mission.
