The 2025 World Team Championship has ended in France after the final matches determined the rankings of the participating teams. In particular, the Vietnam Sepak Takraw team performed excellently, winning 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal, thereby ranking first overall. Notably, the 2 gold medals that the players of the Vietnam Sepak Takraw team won against a strong opponent, China.
Vietnamese Sepak Takraw won 2 gold medals at the 2025 World Team Championship
Specifically, in the men's team final, the Vietnamese players won against the Chinese team with a score of 2-0; and in the women's team final, the Vietnamese Women's Sepak Takraw Team defeated the Chinese team with a score of 2-0.
This year's World Sepak Takraw Championship has the participation of 11 strong teams from countries and territories around the world.
The Vietnam Sepak Takraw team participated in the tournament with the best athletes including: Chi Duc, Que Loc, Hieu Thuan, Ngoc Hai, Phuoc Sang, Thanh Cuong, Gia Co, Nhu Hung, Thanh Ngan, Hoang Oanh, Lan Nhi, Thuc Phuong, Nguyen Thi Lan, My Ngoc, Ngoc Van, Tuyet Trinh, Phuong Lien, Hoang Hiep, Xuan Huy, Huu Loc, My Tien, Kieu Thi Huyen, Quynh Lien, Ngoc Hoa, Lan Phuong.
In 2025, Sepak Takraw will not be included in the official sports system at the 33rd SEA Games. Therefore, after the 2025 World Championship, the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team will continue to prepare professionally to participate in the 2025 Asian Championship to be held in Hong Kong (China) next June.
