On July 2, digital travel platform Agoda has just announced a list of the most economical destinations in Asia for the summer of 2025, from June to August. Notably, Da Lat is honored to be in the top 5 destinations that offer visitors an ideal vacation amidst poetic mountains and forests at affordable costs.
Topping the rankings is Surabaya (Indonesia), followed by Tirupati (India) and Hat Yai (Thailand), with average room rates of VND972,000 and VND1,025,000/night, respectively.
Next, Da Lat ranked fourth. Vietnam's misty city quickly regained its position as the top 5 most affordable destination, after being absent from the rankings this spring.
With an average room rate of 1,180,000 VND/night, Da Lat also attracts tourists thanks to its cool climate, vast pine forests and ancient French architecture. All of these create an ideal summer destination, where unique culture, rich cuisine and poetic landscapes blend together.
Agoda Vietnam Country Director Vu Ngoc Lam shared: “Da Lat’s prominent appearance in the top 5 most affordable destinations shows the growing appeal of Vietnam as a destination that is both economical and rich in experiences.”
The “Best Budget Summer Destinations” ranking was compiled by travel support platform Agoda based on average room rates in the 10 most popular destinations in 9 Asian travel markets, helping travelers find affordable options for their summer vacation this year.
1. Surabaya, Indonesia (Average room rate: 920,000 VND/night)
Known for its rich history and vibrant culture, Surabaya offers visitors a journey to explore ancient architecture, bustling markets and delicious street food. While visiting here, visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as the majestic Bromo volcano and the beautiful Madura Island.
2. Tirupati, India (Average room rate: VND 972,000/night)
