Attending the event were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ; Counselor and Consul General of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam; Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, representatives of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City; Korean Consul in Da Nang City; representatives of the leaders of some Korean localities that have cooperative relations with Da Nang.
Also attending were Korean enterprises investing and having representative offices in Da Nang and Vietnam; Vietnamese enterprises and organizations having relations with Korean partners, along with agencies, units and a large number of people and tourists in the city.
The festival aims to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Korea bilateral diplomatic relations and further strengthen cooperation between Da Nang city and Korean partners and localities.
In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong said that the 4th Vietnam-Korea Festival in 2025 marks the beginning of a new era of development and opens up broad prospects in the cooperative relationship in many fields between the new Da Nang city and local authorities and Korean partners.
This year's festival will have many activities and expanded content in many fields from bilateral cooperation, investment, trade, science-technology, high-tech agriculture to tourism, cultural exchange, cuisine, sports, etc.
Accordingly, this year's festival marked the first time the Conference "Meeting Korea in Da Nang: Opportunities to enhance cooperation between Da Nang and Korean partners" was held.
Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong said that in just the first 7 months of 2025, the city has reached a record of 1 million Korean visitors. Notably, at the opening ceremony, a program was held to welcome the 1 millionth Korean visitor to Da Nang in 2025.
At the ceremony, Mr. Chang Ho-seung, Minister Counselor and Consul General of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, said that to support the new progress of Da Nang city, many local governments of Korea such as Gurye district, Uiwang city, Yeongam district, Pyeongtaek city, Daegu city and Muju district came to participate in this year's festival.
Taking place from August 1-3 at Bien Dong Park, the Vietnam-Korea Festival in Da Nang City in 2025 will take place with a series of rich and unique accompanying activities. Accordingly, more than 80 agencies, organizations and businesses have registered to participate in the exhibition booths displaying typical products of Vietnam and Korea.
