Da Nang special screening of the movie "Love in Vietnam"

Within the framework of the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF 2025), on the evening of July 1, at the Ariyana International Convention Palace in Da Nang, a special screening of the film "Love in Vietnam" took place. This is the first co-production film between India and Vietnam, marking an important milestone in the cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking at the premiere, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, President of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Cinema Development, said: "Love in Vietnam" is the 11th film to be premiered for the first time at the Da Nang Asian Film Festival, demonstrating the prestige and development of DANAFF 2025.

The film is considered a "crystallization" of the deep affection between the Vietnamese and Indian peoples, overcoming many challenges and obstacles.

The film received active support from diplomatic agencies and local authorities of Vietnam during the production process, through creating favorable conditions for infrastructure, procedures, and human resources in the film industry.

This is also the result of the implementation of the Film Crew Attraction Index (PAI) developed by the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association from 2023.

The film is directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi (India) and produced by Captain Rahul Bali. "Love in Vietnam" tells a romantic love story, while introducing the beauty of Vietnam's nature, culture and people through a modern, youthful perspective.


The film stars famous actors from both countries such as Kha Ngan (Vietnam), Avneet Kaur and Shantanu Maheshwari (India).

The film was filmed in many famous locations in Vietnam including: Da Lat, Da Nang, Hoi An, Phu Yen , Nha Trang and Ha Long... The main setting is in Da Lat. In addition, the central coastal scenes and the majestic scenery of Ha Long have created a vivid and colorful cinematic picture.

Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Hoi An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang shared: “Love in Vietnam” with the message “Bringing Vietnamese stories to the world” is a film that not only carries the breath of Vietnamese love and culture but also symbolizes the wonderful exchange between Vietnamese and Indian cinema.


We believe that “Love in Vietnam” is not only a bridge connecting the hearts of two countries, but also an opportunity to introduce the image of Vietnam and its people, including Da Nang, to friends around the world.

Promoting culture and tourism through cinema is an inevitable trend, one of the orientations that Da Nang city will promote in the coming time, in order to enhance the city's brand recognition, attract tourists, preserve, promote and develop local culture; at the same time, open up opportunities for trade and cooperation between localities, businesses and film producers.

As the manager of the film industry, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City will always accompany and support organizations and businesses to make Da Nang City an attractive destination on the world cinema map, as the message of the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival, 2025 - "DANAFF 2025 - Asian Bridge" - a bridge to bring the image of Da Nang to friends and tourists at home and abroad.

At the premiere, actress Kha Ngan shared: "Ngan is very happy and proud to contribute to this film project. The film crew and crew have tried and made a lot of effort."
