Operating for nearly 2 years now, the eco-tourism area combined with agricultural development (Bana Rita Glamping Farm) of Mr. Le Thanh Tuan in Hoa Phu commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city has become an attractive destination for visitors to visit and experience. This tourist area is built on an area of 50,000 m2, welcoming from 2,000 to 3,000 visitors each month. Visitors can experience activities such as: taking care of animals, growing fruit trees, camping, enjoying the fresh air. There are also booths to display, introduce and consume typical OCOP products of Hoa Vang district.

Recently, Mr. Le Thanh Tuan's eco -tourism combined with agricultural development was recognized by Da Nang city as a 4-star OCOP tourism. This is the first product of Da Nang in the group of "Eco-tourism services combined with agricultural development".

Mr. Le Thanh Tuan said that this tourist area creates jobs for 30 local workers with an income of 7 to 12 million VND/person/month, the revenue of the tourist area reaches 6 to 7 billion VND/year: “Previously, we operated in agriculture, mainly planting acacia. Later, we gradually replaced it and planted fruit trees, showing great efficiency. We participate in creating jobs for many local workers. This is one of the honors and responsibilities, how to preserve the value to attract tourists. We will renew agricultural tourism activities. In the past time, we have received support and great companionship from authorities at all levels.”

A few years ago, people only did pure farming, just enough to get by. Since the formation of the community eco-tourism village, people have renovated their gardens, forming many models of fruit trees with economic value , such as Vinh oranges, green-skinned grapefruit, growing hydroponic vegetables combined with developing tourism on rice fields to serve tourists. Since the Thai Lai community eco-tourism village in Hoa Nhon commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city came into operation, it has helped local people earn income and improve their lives.

Currently, the Thai Lai-Saemaul Cooperative, an ecological agricultural model associated with community tourism, has helped cooperative members and villagers benefit from both agriculture and tourism. Mr. Ho Van Hiep, Head of Thai Lai Village, Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, Supervisory Board of Thai Lai-Saemaul Cooperative said: “This summer, many tourists come to visit pagodas and camp. The large number of visitors divide the number equally so that each person can benefit equally. People are very enthusiastic about tourism, thereby creating conditions for people to produce agricultural products and raise chickens for consumption. I hope that the authorities at all levels will invest in creating more check-in points to attract more tourists.”

Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City has 26 community ecotourism sites and 6 agricultural tourism sites. These tourism models create jobs for about 20 to 30 workers. Mr. Do Thanh Tan, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City said: In order for the models to be effective, there needs to be policies to support farmers in accessing capital, and strengthen connections with travel agencies to promote agricultural tourism products: "The district advises the People's Committee of Da Nang City to issue many policies and mechanisms to help people exploit tourism on agricultural land to create jobs on the spot and earn additional income. In the future, we will continue to improve the quality of tourism products, focus on rural resorts and improve tourism products in general to meet the entertainment needs of tourists."

In recent times, the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City and related sectors have had many policies to support tourism entities in Hoa Vang District such as training in customer service, taking people to visit and learn from models in many other localities. In 2023, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the city advised the People's Committee of Da Nang City to submit to the People's Council of Da Nang City to issue Resolution No. 88 on supporting models and projects of agricultural, forestry, fishery production and combined agricultural and forestry production associated with ecotourism and experience services.

Ms. Vu Thi Bich Hau, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Da Nang City said: “The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Da Nang City has supported production models, agricultural, forestry and fishery projects combined with ecotourism and experiential tourism very well. Some people have shifted agricultural models to tourism. This is a direction to increase the value of agricultural production, linking the development of agricultural tourism to the national target program on new rural construction. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Da Nang City and Hoa Vang District have policy plans, supporting pilot models of agricultural tourism development so that these policies bring practical effects to the community and locality".
