One of the highlights is the project “Mobilizing women to unite, be creative, participate in preserving and promoting the value of relics and cultural heritage in the Cho Don Safe Zone” at the Ban Ca National Monument (Binh Trung Commune). This project was recognized by the Vietnam Women's Union as a typical project to welcome the 13th National Women's Congress (2022).

The association has also compiled and applied the thematic document “Education on the revolutionary homeland traditions of ATK Cho Don” to the association system from district to grassroots level. In particular, sample folk dances on the background music of 03 traditional songs have been widely spread through the Facebook page “Women of ATK Cho Don”, creating a vibrant playground imbued with national identity for members.

Not only preserving spiritual and cultural values, the Women's Union of Cho Don district also promotes supporting members to develop the economy from traditional culture. Many training courses on building tourism products, weaving, and traditional embroidery have been held in communes with the participation of dozens of artisans and members.

Handwoven products such as baskets, bags, hats, embroidered scarves, and traditional costumes are displayed and introduced at the district's Night Markets, not only creating jobs and increasing income but also contributing to affirming the cultural identity of ethnic groups. Some products are being developed to become OCOP products.

The Association has supported the establishment of 02 cooperatives managed by women, including: Traditional embroidery and weaving cooperative of the Red Dao people in Ban Cuon 1 village, Bang Phuc commune and Tan Lap weaving cooperative, Tan Lap commune. These groups are both production sites and connecting points for tourists to experience in their journey to explore rural tourism in Cho Don.

Contribute to spreading national cultural identity

The District Women's Union is the core force participating in cultural and artistic activities at major festivals such as the ATK Cho Don Spring Festival. Here, the Union is responsible for organizing the "Khau Con nhanh, dep" competition, organizing a bowl dance performance with the participation of 200 members, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere, attracting a large number of people and tourists.

The contest “Charming ATK Cho Don women in traditional costumes and folk dances” held on the occasion of the Night Market has also attracted great attention from the community. These activities not only arouse cultural pride but also help promote the image of Cho Don women who are dynamic, creative and imbued with identity.

The District Women's Union also actively encourages its members to preserve intangible cultural values such as Then singing, Tinh lute, Bat dance, lullaby, Dao people's coming-of-age ceremony, Pao Dung singing, etc. These values are maintained through exchanges and community activities, and at the same time become cultural products serving tourism development.
