According to records, from late afternoon, at Lien Chieu Square (Hoa Khanh Ward), countless mini electric vehicles such as cars, off-road vehicles, two- or three-wheeled motorbikes were displayed for rent. This game attracted a lot of children to participate with the rental price of 2,000 VND/minute.
It is worth mentioning that this game area has no fence or separate zone.
The car rental company also does not control the player's operating range, but lets these cars run freely throughout the square, where many people and tourists walk.
Many children driving motorbikes deliberately speed up, zigzag, even do wheelies, and race each other in the crowd of people exercising and walking.
As a regular visitor to Lien Chieu Square to exercise, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (living in Hoa Khanh Ward) said that while walking, she had to constantly avoid children riding trams. Many times she was startled and dodged to the side of the road when she suddenly heard the sound of a tram screeching from behind.
“It is dangerous for both children and pedestrians, because this car can reach speeds of up to 20km/h. Many parents let their children drive it themselves. The park area is crowded with people, close to major roads, and there is a high risk of accidents,” said Ms. Hien.
According to the reporter's actual experience, some electric cars can still run very fast even when carrying adults. Many cars only have one brake handle that does not work properly.

A similar situation was also recorded at Nhu Nguyet Street Park (Hai Chau Ward).
“Everyone runs around in public places. I once saw two cars collide, a child fell to the ground and cried,” said a resident.
According to research, most of the electric cars operating in the parks are of unknown origin, with many homemade accessories, and are not quality tested. However, many children participating in the game are not equipped with any protective gear such as helmets.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duy - Chairman of Hai Chau Ward People's Committee - said that the ward has received feedback and will tighten the management of electric vehicle operations at Nhu Nguyet Park to ensure safety for residents and visitors.
“Most of the business activities at Nhu Nguyet Park are currently spontaneous. Recently, the urban regulations force has coordinated with the ward police to regularly patrol and handle the situation of encroachment on sidewalks and illegal trading causing disorder in the area.
In the coming time, the ward will continue to strengthen inspection and rectify violations in this area," said Mr. Duy.
