Da Nang opens the 2nd "Paper Cranes for Children" charity tennis tournament

VHO - On the afternoon of August 16, at the Tuyen Son Sports Village tennis court cluster (Da Nang City), the 2nd "Paper Cranes for Children" Open Charity Tennis Tournament - 2025 officially opened, attracting nearly 100 athletes from many provinces and cities across the country.

Ms. Dao Nguyen Dieu Lan, President of Dao Xanh Tennis Club and Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the tournament continued the success of the first season, taking place on August 16 and 17 with the goal of raising funds to support disadvantaged children in Kon Plong commune, Quang Ngai province.

The funds will be used to provide children with access to education , health care and improved living conditions.

With the message “Every hit is an act of love”, the tournament calls for the cooperation of individuals, organizations, businesses and sports- loving communities to spread the spirit of volunteerism.

Athletes compete in men's doubles and mixed doubles tennis in the Titan Origami Crane and Golden Origami Crane categories , along with a number of other awards.

The 2024 "Paper Cranes for Children" charity tennis tournament raised nearly 500 million VND in cash and gifts - supporting disadvantaged children in Tra Don commune (Nam Tra My district, former Quang Nam province).

As of the afternoon of August 16, the Organizing Committee said it had raised nearly 500 million VND including cash and gifts to support the tournament, creating more resources to support poor children in difficult areas.
