On May 29, 2026, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a decision approving the plan for exploiting 16,212 subdivided residential land plots managed by the City's Land Fund Development Center.
This is an important step towards effectively utilizing land resources to serve resettlement needs, socio-economic development, and increase budget revenue.
According to the decision, 12,220 land plots along planned roads of 5.5m, 7.5m, and 10.5m width will be retained for the resettlement of households whose land has been expropriated. The transfer of resettlement land will be carried out in accordance with legal regulations and the city's plan.
For the remaining land plots, the city has proposed several exploitation options, including consolidating 1,040 land plots into 121 large plots for auctioning land use rights to serve socio-economic development; auctioning 600 land plots in the 2026-2030 period according to the medium-term and annual auction list; and short-term leasing of 2,352 land plots to avoid waste, limit environmental pollution, and create room for development projects.

The Da Nang City Land Development Center is tasked with leading the development of a detailed plan, coordinating with relevant departments and localities to manage, review, and finalize legal documents, organize auctions, and lease land in accordance with regulations. Simultaneously, the Center must periodically report on implementation results and propose solutions to overcome difficulties.
The People's Committees of communes and wards are also responsible for coordinating the management of the current situation, preventing encroachment and illegal construction, and proposing land use needs for public purposes such as parks, healthcare, education , and culture. Project Management Boards are required to urgently complete the technical infrastructure and hand over the land to the Management Center.
With over 16,000 land plots planned for development, Da Nang expects to effectively address the housing needs of its residents while opening up opportunities for infrastructure, service, and economic development in the period 2026-2030.
