The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just approved the research results of the project "Developing industry and services related to yachts in the city".

According to the project, in the period of 2023-2030 with a vision to 2050, in Da Nang City, there are 38 priority investment projects in industry and services related to yachts, with a total estimated investment of about 7,260 billion VND from socialized capital. Of which, the investment capital for industry is 5,700 billion VND and the investment capital for services is 1,560 billion VND.

Specifically, industrial projects include: Factory for building new medium and small sized yachts, investment capital of 2,500 billion VND; Tien Sa yacht maintenance, repair and testing center, investment capital of 1,000 billion VND; Complex providing yacht-related services of 700 billion VND; Distributed repair and maintenance facilities of 500 billion VND.

Service projects such as: Thuan Phuoc International Marina; International Marina in Da Phuoc Urban Area; Thuan Phuoc International Marina; Han River Marina Port Complex Area; Han River Port Marina; Marina in the real estate project area and Da Nang Marina Complex; Marina in the Olalani Riverside Tower project area; Marina in the cultural and entertainment park area southeast of the Memorial; Marina in the new Co Co bridge area on Vo Qui Huan Street... Marina projects have investment capital from 10-50 billion VND.

In the first phase (until 2025), Da Nang plans to invest in 8 yacht-related service projects, including 2 international marina projects.

Specifically, completing the construction of phase 1 of the international marina on the Han River (Bach Dang Street area) with an area of 1 hectare and the international marina in Da Phuoc International Urban Area with an area of 3 hectares.

According to the project, the total land use demand for industrial and service development related to yachting is 87 hectares. Of which, the land fund for industry is 64 hectares and for services is 23 hectares.

From now until 2030, Da Nang will focus on building international marina infrastructure associated with international-class services in the Da Nang Bay area, gradually forming the initial infrastructure of the yacht industry and calling for investment in new construction facilities for medium and small-sized yachts.

At the same time, ensure the basic completion of investment in international and domestic marina infrastructure in the city, promote the development of industry and services related to yachts with a contribution to the city's GRDP of 2-3%, of which services contribute 1.5-2.3%, industry contributes 0.5-0.7%.

With a vision to 2050, Da Nang will develop a professional and modern yacht building industry and transform Tien Sa seaport into an international yacht port; continue to develop the yacht industry stably, making yacht-related services a typical brand of Da Nang City. Strive to increase the contribution to the city's GRDP to about 4-5%, of which services contribute 3-3.5%, and industry contributes 1-1.5%.
