The city's total revenue in the first 5 months of 2025 reached nearly 13,300 billion VND, an increase of nearly 55% over the same period in 2024.

The report on the socio -economic situation in May and the first 5 months of 2025, announced by the Da Nang Statistics Office on June 2, showed that the city's economy recorded positive recovery in most economic sectors. In particular, services and tourism continued to play a key role as the number of international tourists increased sharply, leading to significant growth in revenue from services, accommodation, and food and beverage.

Processing and manufacturing industry continues to be the main driving force, accounting for a high proportion in the city's industrial production structure. Trade and export maintained stable growth, investment and construction activities took place vigorously with many key projects being started and accelerated.

State budget revenue in the area in the first 5 months of 2025 increased sharply compared to the same period last year due to the production and business activities of economic sectors gradually regaining growth momentum; at the same time, the work of preventing budget loss was implemented with many synchronous and effective solutions.

Preliminary total state budget revenue as of May 25 reached nearly VND 13,300 billion, an increase of nearly 55% over the same period in 2024, of which central budget revenue reached more than VND 2,900 billion, local budget revenue reached nearly VND 10,400 billion. In total state budget revenue, domestic revenue activities continue to account for the majority (nearly 90%) and are the basis for balancing expenditure sources during the year.

In total domestic revenue, the revenue items with high proportions include revenue from the non-state industrial and commercial sector accounting for nearly 28%, an increase of more than 70% over the same period in 2024; revenue from foreign-invested enterprises accounting for more than 17%, an increase of more than 18%; personal income tax accounting for more than 15%, an increase of nearly 60%; revenue from housing and land accounting for more than 10%, an increase of 51.5%.

The consumer price index (CPI) in May increased by 0.73% compared to the previous month, of which food and services increased by 0.55% due to a 0.45% increase in food prices, such as rice increased by 0.63%; housing, construction materials, fuel... increased by 2.55%; household equipment and appliances increased by 0.38%...

According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, the city still faces a number of challenges such as slow disbursement of public investment capital, fluctuating construction material costs, affecting the progress and cost of project implementation; shortage of high-quality labor and pressure from global economic fluctuations. "In general, the economic picture of Da Nang in the first 5 months of 2025 is showing signs of sustainable recovery, gradually affirming its role as an economic - service center of the Central region," the report of the Da Nang Statistical Office noted.
