At the grand ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day held in Ho Chi Minh City this morning, Huynh Manh Phuong, Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University) represented the young generation to speak.
Huynh Manh Phuong is a former student of the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University). 9 years ago, she was a talented student of K16, majoring in Law.
Phuong has participated in the Youth Union movement since she was a student. In a media interview, Phuong said that when she was young, her seniors wore blue shirts to organize games and activities during the summer. The image of the Youth Union officers, who were beautiful, funny, young and dynamic, was soon imprinted in her mind, making her admire them and want to follow in the footsteps of the older generation.
Huynh Manh Phuong was admitted to the Party at the age of 18 when she was a student at Thai Hoa High School, Tan Uyen Town, Binh Duong Province. Five years ago, Phuong was the youngest delegate to attend the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2020-2025, at that time she had been a Party member for 4 years.
Becoming a high school Youth Union officer, she participated in organizing programs to celebrate November 20 and spring festivals. At university, Phuong was active in Youth Union activities, participated in many activities and was the President of the Student Union of the University of Economics and Law.
As a student, Huynh Manh Phuong represented the young generation to speak at the ceremony celebrating the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2020) in Hanoi .
Huynh Manh Phuong received many titles such as: Outstanding young Party member of Ho Chi Minh City National University, advanced youth following Uncle Ho's teachings of Ho Chi Minh City and was recognized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and the City Student Association for his contributions to the Association's work and student movement.
Currently, Huynh Manh Phuong is the Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University), working in the admissions and student affairs department.
Master Cu Xuan Tien, Head of Admissions and Student Affairs Department of the University of Economics and Law, said that Huynh Manh Phuong participated in the Youth Union activities early, as the President of the Student Union when he was a student, as well as the Secretary of the Youth Union after graduation. Phuong has made many important contributions to the Youth Union activities of the school, helping the Youth Union of the school maintain the leading position for 5 consecutive years, and the Student Union of the school for 7 consecutive years.
Mr. Tien said that Phuong graduated with honors from the talented bachelor's class, was retained at the school, and is currently working in the admissions and student affairs department. "Phuong is very brave, as can be seen from her voice and speech at the grand ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of the National Reunification Day that took place this morning," Mr. Tien said.
