Candidates for high school graduation exam in 2024. |
Hanoi National University uses 3 main admission methods applied in regular university admission in 2025, including: Candidates who are eligible for direct admission, priority admission according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and candidates who are eligible for priority admission according to the regulations of Hanoi National University.
Candidates using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam must meet the input quality assurance threshold set by Hanoi National University;
Candidates whose results of the High School Student Aptitude Assessment (HSA) organized by Hanoi National University meet the prescribed quality assurance threshold (HSA results are valid within 2 years from the exam date).
Because the regulations require admission methods to be converted to a scale, so that candidates can visualize the conversion of HSA results to high school graduation exam scores, the Institute of Digital Training and Testing, Hanoi National University has built a conversion table based on 2024 high school graduation exam score data for candidates to refer to.
Specific reference conversion table:

This is a conversion table based on 2024 high school graduation exam data. Therefore, when the 2025 high school graduation exam results are available, the conversion table will be adjusted to match the actual score distribution.
Candidates must achieve a score of 8 in Math.
In addition to the three methods above, some units with specific training programs and majors or using multiple admission methods at the same time or using other admission methods to recruit for a major or group of majors must self-determine the conversion rules to the 30-point scale and publicly announce the conversion rules, input thresholds and admission scores, and conditions for receiving application documents according to the principles and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Particularly for the admission option combining international language certificates with high school academic results, in addition to the general conditions specified in the Regulations on regular university admissions of Hanoi National University, the unit must add the condition that candidates must achieve a minimum score of 8 points in Math or a score of 2 subjects (Math, Literature) of at least 15 in the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Training units shall implement the conversion method (if using methods other than HSA of Hanoi National University) according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training and clearly announce it in the unit's enrollment information, ensuring transparency, compliance with regulations, and at the same time strengthen communication work so that candidates and society know and feel secure in registering for admission to training majors/programs.
The units publish the lookup link or conversion table of admission scores according to HSA to admission scores according to 2024 high school graduation exam scores for candidates' reference.
For foreign language certificates specified in the High School Graduation Exam Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, units can convert them as a subject in the admission combination with the weighted score not exceeding 50%.
In addition, units can consider adding points (bonus points) to admission combinations without foreign languages for candidates with international English certificates IELTS with a minimum score of 5.5, TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 72 or other international foreign language certificates accepted by the Ministry of Education and Training, reaching a minimum level of level 4 according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam, the specific bonus points are as follows: Level 6: add up to 2.0 points; Level 5: add up to 1.5 points; Level 4: add up to 1.0 points.
For units that do not independently consider admission based on the results of SAT, ACT or A-Level exams, they may consider adding points for candidates with high results in SAT, ACT or A-Level exams with an additional score of no more than 2 points (the gap between the scores is 0.5).
