Hanoi National University will shorten the bachelor's degree to 2.5-3 years

TPO - According to Hanoi National University, the undergraduate training time will be shortened from 4 years to 3 years and excellent students can complete it in 2.5 years.

Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) said that this is a strategic step in developing high-quality, highly qualified human resources, aiming to implement Resolution 57 of the Central Committee on science , technology, innovation and digital transformation.

Based on the general orientation, VNU has coordinated with member units and consulted the experience of advanced universities to develop a separate training regulation, applied to bachelor programs according to international standards.

Accordingly, the standard training period will be 3 years, with a flexible learning structure of 3 semesters per year, allowing students to adjust their learning progress and personalize their learning path. For excellent students, the completion time can be shortened to 2.5 years.

The training program is designed with an international integration orientation: in addition to the political theory and general knowledge courses taught in Vietnamese, most of the specialized courses, including the graduation thesis, will be entirely in English. This is to equip students with the ability to work in an international environment, using English as a second academic and professional language.

The application of digital technology , especially artificial intelligence, will be promoted in both teaching and learning. Forms of learning organization will be diversified, combining direct learning, online learning, group work, supervised self-study or completely individualized according to each student's ability.

The program not only integrates artificial intelligence and digital technology into teaching but also promotes personalized learning, connects scientific research and connects to doctoral degrees, creating a breakthrough in the strategy of developing high-quality, highly-qualified human resources in Vietnam.
