According to the enrollment plan, Hanoi Medical University divides tuition fees into two groups. Group 1 includes 6 majors: Medicine, Traditional Medicine, Ophthalmology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Advanced Nursing Program, expected to increase tuition fees to 41.8 - 55.2 million VND/school year.
Group 2, including 6 majors: Dentistry, Preventive Medicine, Public Health , Nutrition, Medicine, Nursing (trained at Thanh Hoa branch) increased tuition fees to about 20.9 - 27.6 million VND/school year.
In 2021 and 2022, Hanoi Medical University will keep tuition fees at 14.3 million VND/school year.
Hanoi Medical University offers tuition fees for the bridging program in two forms of training: Studying during office hours is 30.5 million VND/academic year. Studying outside office hours is 38.5 million VND/academic year.
The school applies the tuition fee increase for the following years according to the provisions of Article 31, Clause 3 of Decree 81 of 2021, an increase of no more than 12.5%.
This year, Hanoi Medical University plans to enroll a total of 1,370 students for 10 training majors, an increase of 200 students compared to 2022.
Of which, the Medical major recruits the most with 520 quotas (400 quotas at the main campus, 120 quotas at Thanh Hoa branch). The Nursing major with advanced program plans to recruit 130 quotas at the main campus, 80 quotas for the mass program at Thanh Hoa branch.
Each major of Preventive Medicine, Nutrition, Dentistry - Jaw - Face recruits 100 students. Major of Traditional Medicine, Medical Testing Technology is expected to recruit 80 students/major. Ophthalmology will recruit 70 students and 60 students for Public Health.
This year, the Rehabilitation Engineering major also started enrolling students, the school plans to enroll 50 students.
Hanoi Medical University applies 2 admission methods, including:
Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi Medical University (no more than 25% of the quota for each major). Admission is based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam, a combination of 3 exams: Math, Chemistry, Biology.
For the Faculty of Medicine, Thanh Hoa Branch of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing (advanced program), there is an additional admission method combining international language certificates.
In this method, the mandatory condition is that candidates have valid English and French certificates, valid until the date of application submission. Certificates recognized by the school for Medicine and Dentistry include IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 79-93 or TOEFL ITP 561-589 for English; DELF B2, TCF 400 points for French.
For the Advanced Nursing program, accepted English certificates include IELTS 5.0, TOEFL iBT 35-45 or TOEFL ITP 485-499.
Admission score based on combined high school graduation score and international language certificate will be up to 3 points lower than that based solely on exam score.
