Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairwoman of the An Giang Provincial Youth Union Council Ho Thi Hong Phuong; Vice Chairman of the Phu Tan District People's Committee Tang Van Ne; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tan District Nguyen Thanh An and 208 outstanding "Uncle Ho's Good Children" delegates attended the congress.
The congress had an exchange and discussion with 3 typical examples of poor students who overcame difficulties to study well: Tran Ngoc Ky Thu (class 5C, Hoa Lac "B" Primary School); Huynh Thao Vy (class 9A3, Phu Hiep Secondary School); Nguyen Thi Thanh Man (class 5C, Phu Tho Primary School).
At the congress, the People's Committee of Phu Tan district awarded certificates of merit to 11 collectives and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Young Pioneers and children's movement, from the 2020-2021 school year to the 2023-2024 school year.
The congress also awarded 19 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances, who have overcome difficulties and studied well. Of these, 3 scholarships were sponsored by the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) Phu Tan district branch; 16 scholarships were supported by the district's Association for the Promotion of Education, the Association for the Support of the Disabled, Poor Patients and Protection of Children's Rights, and Ms. Ngoc Pham's volunteer group.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the Video Clip Contest “We Tell Uncle Ho’s Stories” announced the results and awarded 11 outstanding prizes. The District Youth Union - District Pioneer Council coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to present 10 “Small Planning Houses” to 10 primary school Pioneer Unions (with separate locations) in the district.
