Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam: Accompanying Cao Bang in recovery and development projects

During his visit and work in Cao Bang province on April 8, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki said he will continue to accompany the locality in the post-disaster reconstruction process and promote cooperation in many fields.

At the meeting, Mr. Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, introduced the potential and strengths of the locality in the fields of economy , culture, tourism and foreign affairs. He expressed his desire to strengthen cooperative relations with Japanese localities, organizations and enterprises.

Mr. Quan Minh Cuong thanked the Japanese Government and relevant organizations for their timely support after the 3rd storm in 2024. Through UNICEF, Japan provided 1.26 million USD in aid to the project "Supporting Cao Bang province to overcome the consequences of the 3rd storm - Yagi for children and women". The project has contributed to helping people stabilize their lives soon.

He hopes that Japan will continue to support projects to promote tourism development, help the poor access social services, deploy small-scale humanitarian aid, as well as programs in essential areas such as health, education, environment, agriculture, infrastructure, disaster prevention and climate change.

Cao Bang province also hopes to receive scholarships for poor students, support business activities, create jobs for local people and promote the local image to Japanese friends. He affirmed that the province is always ready to create favorable conditions for cooperation programs sponsored by Japan.

Ambassador Ito Naoki sympathized with the damage suffered by Cao Bang province after the storm and expressed his hope that the province would continue to cooperate to implement support projects. He believed that Japan's support would help Cao Bang people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
