Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar promotes economic diplomacy at Hospitality Qatar 2024 exhibition

Vietnam's booth attracted attention at the exhibition, opening up new opportunities to promote trade, investment and tourism cooperation with foreign partners.

From November 12-14, the Embassy of Vietnam in Qatar participated in the Hospitality Qatar 2024 exhibition. This is Qatar's leading international trade exhibition for hotels, restaurants and cafes, showcasing the latest advances in the tourism and hospitality industry.

This year's exhibition, held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), brings together more than 120 suppliers from over 20 countries, representing various sectors in the hospitality, tourism and F&B (food and beverage) industries.

At this exhibition, the Vietnamese booth displays catalogs and samples of dozens of Vietnamese enterprises in the fields of food, agricultural products, handicrafts, construction materials, etc., along with many books, magazines, and publications introducing culture, tourism, cuisine , art, etc. of Vietnam.

Vietnam’s booth attracted the attention of many visitors and delegates attending the exhibition. Many distributors expressed their interest in Vietnamese products displayed here, such as cashew nuts, jelly, coffee, breeze blocks, etc., and wished to connect with domestic enterprises through the Vietnamese Embassy to explore the possibility of cooperation in trading these products.

Notably, on the opening day, Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of the Qatar Tourism Authority, visited the Vietnamese booth. Here, Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji highly appreciated the ability to promote cooperation between businesses of the two countries, especially in the tourism sector; at the same time, expressed the hope that Vietnam will continue to open booths at the next Hospitality Qatar exhibitions.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Qatar Nguyen Huy Hiep assessed that opening a Vietnamese booth at the Hospitality Qatar exhibition is not only a great opportunity to promote trade and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Qatar, but also with many other countries in the world; at the same time, it contributes to promoting the country, culture and people of Vietnam, bringing the image of Vietnam to many international friends.
