Van Nham commune was established on the basis of merging the original status of 3 communes: Nhat Tien, Minh Tien and Van Nham (old Huu Lung district). The commune has 30 villages with 4,351 households and 19,497 people. The people in Van Nham commune are mainly Kinh, Nung and Tay ethnic groups living together.
Over the past years, the Fatherland Front Committee of Van Nham commune has actively mobilized people to promote the spirit of solidarity of residential communities, helping each other to develop the economy; up to now, the commune has only 60 poor households (accounting for 1.38%), and 87 near-poor households (accounting for 2%).
Implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Nham commune has propagated and mobilized people to voluntarily contribute money and working days to build roads, schools, cultural houses, playgrounds, build green, clean and beautiful village roads and alleys...
At the festival, delegates and people reviewed the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's tradition day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025); listened to reports on the results of the implementation of the task of building the great national unity bloc in socio-economic development, security and defense of Van Nham commune in 2025.
Speaking at the festival, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang informed the people of Van Nham commune about the socio-economic development situation of the country, especially the achievements of the country after implementing the two-level local government.
At the same time, the Minister of Public Security acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Lang Son province and Van Nham commune have achieved in the past time.
At the festival, General Luong Tam Quang also pointed out: In order to successfully implement the socio-economic development goals of the country in general, of Lang Son province in particular, as well as to build developed residential communities, the lives of all people and families become increasingly prosperous and happy, in the coming time, the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front, the socio-political organizations of Lang Son province and Van Nham commune continue to unite, be unanimous, and determined to successfully complete political, economic and social tasks; promote the strength of great solidarity in the community, together build Lang Son province in general, Van Nham commune in particular to become a dynamic, modern region with a strong national identity; continue to highly promote the new space, new driving force from the 2-level local government model to promote socio-economic development; continue to implement solutions to improve the lives of the people in the area.
Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang emphasized: The Party Committee and government of Lang Son province continue to effectively implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam on "strongly innovating the working methods of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations, focusing on the grassroots and taking the people as the center of service"; promoting the core role of the Fatherland Front at all levels in gathering and uniting social classes, arousing and strongly spreading the will, aspiration, and spirit of dedication so that each citizen can truly become a soldier on the front line of building an increasingly prosperous homeland, together towards the common goal of a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
During the festival, General Luong Tam Quang presented gifts to 50 outstanding families in Van Nham and Yen Binh communes. At the festival, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of Lang Son province also presented flowers and gifts to representatives of the inter-village people of Van Nham commune.
After attending the National Great Unity Festival of Van Nham commune, General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security and members of the central working delegation visited and presented gifts to the armed forces of Van Nham and Yen Binh communes; visited and presented gifts to the staff of Van Nham commune Health Station.
