General Phan Van Giang meets voters in Thai Nguyen

Speaking at the meeting with voters, General Phan Van Giang acknowledged and thanked the comments on the Draft Law on Defense Industry, Security and Industry Mobilization, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility in building a modern, independent, self-reliant, self-reliant, and dual-use defense industry. When the Law is passed by the National Assembly at the upcoming 7th session of the 15th National Assembly, the Ministry of National Defense will promptly issue decrees and circulars to guide the law so that it can soon come into effect.

Senior General Phan Van Giang said that in recent years and at present, the world situation has had many complicated developments, with conflicts in many regions; the Party and the State are very interested in building a strong national defense and security, including building a defense industry. The Law on Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization has been issued with outstanding regulations to attract talents and resources in building a modern, dual-use defense industry, self-sufficient in producing many types of strategic weapons, capable of protecting the Fatherland in all situations.

2024 has many important events, including the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, which are being celebrated by the Party, State, and Army to review history, traditions, and educate patriotism, national pride, and self-respect.

Many comments were made on the Draft Law on Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization at the conference.

To celebrate the Army's major anniversaries, General Phan Van Giang requested that military units stationed in the area closely coordinate with Thai Nguyen province to accelerate site clearance to build new facilities, expand and improve the quality of defense equipment production to meet the requirements.

On this occasion, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang presented 50 gifts to policy families and defense workers in difficult circumstances at Factory Z131.
