The light of the new rural Dak Ha
In just a few days of campaigning, many roads in Dak Ha commune, Dak Glong district, have been covered with streetlights, making it easier for people to travel at night.

Previously, people in the commune were reluctant to go out at night because the roads were narrow, dark, and difficult to navigate. To ensure convenient travel and daily life for the people, at the beginning of 2025, the Dak Ha commune government launched the "Rural Lighting" model.
Thanks to this model, 460 LED streetlights were installed on the main roads in the villages and hamlets in a short period of time, equivalent to a cost of 676 million VND. The entire cost was raised from contributions from the local people.

“Before, few people dared to go out at night. Now, with the streetlights illuminating the area, the atmosphere in the village has become much more cheerful. People are exercising along the road more often. The aesthetics of the new rural commune have improved,” shared Ms. Bui Thi Oanh, a resident of Hamlet 1, Dak Ha Commune, with delight.
The implementation of this model has also contributed to changing the appearance of the locality. On village and hamlet roads, streetlights are switched on regularly from 6:00 PM every day. The streetlights illuminate the entire residential area.

Following the model, Mrs. Tran Thi Thu Thuy's family in Hamlet 8 also spent 1.5 million VND to install LED lights in front of their house. Now that they have the lights, their evening business is much more vibrant. The once quiet street has become much busier and more bustling.
In sparsely populated areas, the model has helped people feel more secure in their work and production. Mr. K'Sieng, a resident of Hamlet 3, shared: "Since the lights were installed, children can go to school and play without fear of the dark. People returning from working in the fields late at night are less rushed; there is no longer the worry of theft of agricultural products at night when drying them."
