The road leading to Hamlet 8, Dak Ha Commune, was previously a narrow, unpaved dirt road. Many sections were difficult for residents to travel on. When the government invested in a new, spacious 4-meter-wide concrete rural road, the people were extremely delighted.
According to Mr. K'Thuot, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Ha commune, during the process of building new rural areas, the locality prioritized investment resources to complete the transportation criteria. The commune conducted a comprehensive review of the current status of all roads and categorized the road categories in the area.
The New Rural Development Program has been decisively directed by the Party Committee and the local government. During the period 2020-2024, the entire commune mobilized 295.873 billion VND to implement the New Rural Development program.
Of this, 169.373 billion VND was from the state budget for direct investment in the commune, and 2.5 billion VND was mobilized from the community.

Dak Glong District has allocated investment capital for school construction projects in the area to help complete the education criteria. Specifically, this includes: upgrading the facilities of Hoa Mai Kindergarten; investing in classrooms, administrative buildings, and functional rooms at Anh Duong Kindergarten to strive for achieving national standard level 1 by the end of 2024; investing in 6 subject classrooms, a concrete schoolyard, and a multi-purpose hall at Nguyen Trai Primary School…

The effective implementation of poverty reduction policies in the area has helped to increase people's income. Dak Ha has actively replicated and developed suitable specialized production models, introducing high-value and high-yield crops into production. By the end of 2024, the average per capita income in the commune was 50.89 million VND/person.
“To date, Dak Ha has basically completed 17 out of 19 criteria for New Rural Development. The commune is promoting vibrant and widespread emulation movements to build New Rural Development. We strive to complete the remaining criteria by the end of 2024 and achieve New Rural Development standards for the 2021-2025 period,” shared K'Thuot, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Ha commune.
Dak Ha commune, Dak Glong district, currently has 33 rural roads with a total length of 39.11 km. To date, the commune has paved 28.11 km; of which, 100% of commune roads are paved, 83.77% of village roads, 48% of alleyways, and 66.12% of main internal field roads are paved.
Improving the people's living standards.
The Resolution of the 4th Congress of the Dak Glong District Party Committee, term 2020-2025, sets the goal of striving to have 2-3 communes meet the standards of New Rural Development by 2025.

According to Doan Van Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Glong district, in recent times, the locality has focused on directing all levels and sectors to mobilize and integrate investment resources and implement many movements to build new rural areas.

Dak Glong district already has Quang Khe commune that has met the criteria for New Rural Development. It is expected that by the end of 2025, Dak Ha commune will also meet the criteria for New Rural Development in the 2021-2025 period. By the end of 2025, the average number of criteria met per commune in the district will be 16.7, achieving 100% of the plan.

According to Mr. Phuong, the district follows the principle of "doing the easy things first, then the difficult things" and selects basic criteria as leverage to create momentum for implementing other criteria.
Dak Glong has simultaneously mobilized the entire political system, focusing on leveraging internal resources and proactively encouraging the active participation of the people to accelerate the process of completing the New Rural Development program.

In particular, the district has focused all resources on implementing several basic criteria that have a significant impact on the living conditions and production of rural people. This is especially true for the development of collective and farm-based economies.
To date, several agricultural cooperatives and farms are operating effectively, creating jobs and stable income for their members.
Dak Glong district currently has 87 agricultural cooperatives and farms; of which, 17 cooperatives are in operation. Some cooperatives operate with high efficiency such as: Thinh Phat Agricultural - Medicinal Herbs - Service - Trade Cooperative; An Phuc Khang Medicinal Herbs Cooperative; Dak Ha High-Tech Agriculture Cooperative; Dak Plao Organic Agriculture Cooperative...
Based on the criteria for new rural communes, to date, 5 out of 7 communes in the district have met criterion number 13 on production organization and rural economic development, achieving 71%.

During the period 2022-2024, the district had 7 products certified as OCOP products in 4 communes, achieving 57% of the plan. It is expected that by 2025, the district will strive to develop more products certified as OCOP products in the remaining 3 communes, reaching 100% of the plan.
Authorities at all levels have paid attention to and focused on investing in building more modern school facilities and ensuring sufficient classrooms. Currently, many schools have implemented a two-session-per-day learning model.
The grassroots healthcare network continues to be strengthened and modernized. All 7 communes in the district have qualified health stations providing health insurance-covered medical services.
To date, the district has 1 out of 7 communes that have met the standards for New Rural Areas. On average, each commune in the district has met 13.7 criteria . The district has only one commune, Quang Khe, that has met 3 out of 19 criteria for advanced New Rural Area status.
Within the district, 49 villages and hamlets in 6 particularly disadvantaged communes are implementing the New Rural Village Criteria. A total of 319 out of 441 criteria have been met. On average, each village/hamlet has met 6.5 criteria, achieving 100% of the plan.
Specifically, Quang Son commune has 2 villages, and Dak Som commune has 1 village. The localities are currently implementing the necessary procedures to submit for assessment, striving to have 3 villages recognized as meeting the standards of the New Rural Development program.
