On August 25th, the Ea Kar District Police ( Dak Lak Province) announced that they had handed over Nguyen Duy Hoang (born in 1989, residing in Hamlet 5, Cu Ni Commune) to the Criminal Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police for investigation into the crime of murder.
According to initial information, at around 7:30 PM on August 24th, Ms. LTC (born in 1983, residing in Cu Ni commune, Ea Kar district) and several others went to Mr. TDT's house (born in 1981, residing in Hamlet 5, Cu Ni commune) to visit.
At approximately 9:15 PM that same day, Mrs. C. was driving her son home when she saw Nguyen Duy Hoang holding two knives in his hands. Hoang stood in front of the car, blocking Mrs. C.'s way home.
Seeing this, Mrs. C. told Hoang, "Get out of the way so I can go home." At the same time, those present called Mr. T. out to intervene. However, as soon as Mr. T. came out, Hoang chased him with a knife, causing him to run back into the house. At this moment, Mrs. C. was reversing her car to prepare to go in another direction when she was suddenly tackled to the ground by Hoang. There, Hoang used the knife to stab Mrs. C.
At that moment, people shouted and tried to stop Hoang's actions to save Mrs. C. When Hoang fled, people checked on her and discovered that Mrs. C. had died. After committing the crime, Hoang hid in the fields and was arrested by the Ea Kar District Police.
According to locals, Hoang had feelings for Ms. C. but was rejected. Seeing Ms. C. visiting Mr. T.'s house, Hoang became consumed with jealousy and committed the crime.
The case is currently being handled by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Dak Lak Provincial Police, in accordance with their jurisdiction.
