Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dak Nong has issued documents on granting and managing codes for growing areas and packaging facilities for export.
Functional sectors and localities periodically inspect and control growing areas and packaging facilities in conjunction with production management and product consumption. Relevant agencies and units inspect and ensure the quality of agricultural materials and control plant quarantine objects in growing areas and export packaging facilities.

Provincial levels, sectors and unions coordinate with a number of affiliated units of relevant ministries and sectors to organize many seminars, workshops and conferences to promote to businesses, cooperatives, cooperative groups and farmers compliance with and compliance with regulations on agricultural exports.
The propaganda focuses on contents such as production management, control of plant quarantine objects in growing areas, packaging facilities associated with product consumption such as durian, passion fruit, and coffee in the province.

According to the leader of Dak Nong Agricultural Development Department, through inspection, most of the province's growing area codes and packaging facilities have maintained good implementation of the requirements and regulations of the importer.
Growing areas and packaging facilities must perform well in managing growing area codes, ensuring production is in accordance with current Vietnamese regulations and requirements of importing countries.
Growing areas and packaging facilities that have been granted export codes must update information on the entire process of growing, caring for, harvesting, packaging and transporting products on the growing area management software (Farmdiary) and packaging facility management software.

Dak Nong has 54 growing area codes and packaging facility codes for export. Plants with growing area codes include: durian, mango, grapefruit, avocado, passion fruit, coffee... These are key agricultural products with great potential to develop domestic and international markets.
The competent authority has requested the Plant Protection Department to review, synthesize and negotiate with the importing country to continue maintaining these growing area codes and packaging facility codes.
Granting growing area codes not only ensures product traceability, but is also a mandatory requirement for the province's agricultural products to meet quality standards and expand export opportunities.
By the end of the first quarter of 2025, Dak Nong had 6 growing areas and 4 packaging facilities (all durian) whose export codes had been revoked due to cadmium contamination according to the announcement of the importing country.
This is a valuable lesson for the unit and its affiliates. Therefore, growing areas need to seriously consider all stages from land, water sources, pesticides, harvesting, transportation, and product packaging.
Dak Nong has 1 packaging facility code in Dak R'lap district and 1 growing area code in Dak Song district that will not export in 2024.
According to the leader of the Department of Agricultural Development, the unit has requested the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection to notify the situation of export facilities to coordinate management and verify information promptly.
From there, avoid using and counterfeiting growing area codes in export, affecting Vietnamese agricultural products in general and Dak Nong in particular.

According to the leader of the Department of Agricultural Development, violations of plant quarantine and food safety have been on the rise recently.
If this violation continues, it will seriously affect export industries and damage the reputation of Vietnamese agricultural products as well as Dak Nong.
