To ensure electrical safety for people before, during and after the storm, customers of Ninh Binh Electricity Company and people in the province carry out a number of contents:
Do not stand near electric poles when it is raining or there is a thunderstorm or lightning, do not go near electrical equipment. Do not touch any electrical equipment or tools with wet hands or walk barefoot on wet floors. Do not go on terraces or roofs where there are power lines. Do not attempt to repair outdoor electrical lines or equipment.
When discovering a tilted electric pole or broken electric wire falling onto the road, field, pond, lake... you must stop and ensure a minimum distance of 10 meters, warn everyone not to come near, and notify the person in charge of electricity in the area to promptly cut off the power, ensure safety and fix the problem.
Stay away from dangerous areas, do not stand or take shelter from rain at the foot of electric poles, under the eaves of transformer stations, do not directly touch electric poles, ground wires, electric pole ties, circuit breakers, meter protection boxes, underground electrical cabinets... to prevent unexpected incidents such as broken electric wires, broken porcelain, tree branches falling on electric wires, water overflowing into the power station causing fire, explosion, electrical leakage...
Proactively cut and prune trees near power lines that are at risk of breaking or falling, causing unsafe conditions during storms; remove scaffolding, tarpaulins, and construction barriers near power lines before the storm hits.
When the family's electrical grid is at risk of being flooded due to flooding, immediately cut off the power source protection devices such as fuses, circuit breakers... to prevent the electrical grid from being flooded and causing accidents.
Do not travel by ship, boat or raft in flooded areas with power lines close to the water to avoid electric discharge causing accidents.
When detecting a risk of grid safety loss or a violation of the grid safety corridor, people are requested to promptly notify local authorities or the grid operation management unit via Hotline 19006769.
