The Traffic Police Department has just issued a peak plan to ensure traffic order and safety during the April 30 and May 1 holidays and improve the effectiveness of handling violations according to Decree No. 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government .

The focus of the plan is to seriously implement plans, measures to ensure traffic order and safety for the parade and march to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; continue to deploy and strictly implement the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and Decree 168 to maintain people's habit of obeying road traffic laws...

On road traffic routes, the traffic police force focuses on controlling violations of road transport activities, such as: Carrying more people than the prescribed number; not driving on the correct route, schedule, and permitted transport itinerary according to regulations; carrying overloaded loads, exceeding the size limit; not installing or installing but not using journey monitoring devices, devices recording images of drivers on transport business vehicles; not having a badge, driving vehicles beyond the prescribed time...

Violations of traffic rules, such as: Violating alcohol and drug concentrations; speeding; improperly avoiding or overtaking; driving in the wrong part of the road or lane; stopping, parking, picking up or dropping off passengers in the wrong place; driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street, driving in the wrong direction on a road with a "No Entry" sign; driving in a group causing traffic obstruction, weaving, swerving, illegal racing, disturbing public order, etc.

Violations of conditions of vehicle drivers and vehicles, such as: Driving a vehicle without a certificate or stamp of technical safety and environmental protection inspection or having one but it has expired; driving a vehicle that has exceeded its usage period to participate in traffic...

On railway routes, the traffic police force proactively coordinates with the railway industry to organize inspections and handle violations that cause unsafe railway traffic, especially at level crossings and self-opened paths; inspect compliance with regulations on train safety by railway staff and conditions for the circulation of railway vehicles; grasp the situation and train schedules, especially at intersections between roads and railways to promptly advise and direct the work of ensuring order and traffic safety on the occasion of April 30 and May 1 and to serve the organization of parades and marches during the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification in Ho Chi Minh City.

On waterway routes, the traffic police force focuses on controlling and strictly handling violations of vehicle operations (operating conditions; safety equipment and tools of vehicles; uses, operating areas; age of use; conversion); activities of crew members, drivers, vehicle owners; traffic rules and signals of vehicles; regulations on inland waterway transport, etc.

To proactively manage traffic flow and arrange forces to ensure order and traffic safety and guide the procession during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the Traffic Police Department requested local traffic police to grasp the situation, proactively develop plans to mobilize, coordinate and arrange permanent and on-duty forces at key traffic intersections during the April 30 and May 1 holidays in the locality, especially the parades and marches during the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification in Ho Chi Minh City, ensuring smooth and safe travel for people and international visitors.

This peak plan is implemented from April 21 to May 20.
