In the first 6 months of 2025, the total electricity output of the entire national system (including rooftop solar power) is estimated at 156.4 billion kWh, 3.04% higher than the same period in 2024, reaching 45% of the 2025 plan. The main reason is that the national temperature is lower than the same period, the load demand does not increase as forecast from the beginning of the year. In the first 6 months of the year, the largest consumption capacity of the national power system reached 51,672 MW recorded on June 2, 5.7% higher than the same period in 2024 (in the North alone, the largest consumption capacity increased by 2,632 MW to 26,495 MW).

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the remaining months of 2025, the East Sea may see 11-13 storms, of which 5-6 storms will directly affect the mainland, with the risk of strong storms of level 12 or higher still high. Therefore, rainfall in July, August, and September is forecast to be approximately at the average level of many years, with the possibility of some widespread heavy rains in the Northern and North Central regions. Therefore, the national power system will basically provide enough electricity for socio -economic development and people's needs for most of the year.

In Tuyen Quang province, in order to ensure sufficient electricity supply for production, business and people's lives during the peak period of 2025 and the period of 2026 - 2030. Currently, the province is focusing on directing relevant units to accelerate the implementation of power source projects such as: Yen Son Hydropower Project, capacity of 90 MW, expected to be completed and generate electricity in 2025; starting construction of Tuyen Quang Biomass Power Project, capacity of 50 MW, carrying out procedures for selecting investors, approving investment policies for Song Lo 9 Hydropower Project, capacity of 87 MW, Tuyen Quang Hydropower Extension, capacity of 120 MW.
