In order to continuously improve the spiritual life of the people, in recent times, Dam Ha district has always paid attention to investing and effectively exploiting the cultural institutions system in the area. This approach is also making an important contribution to enriching the cultural values of the land and people here.
The Quang An Commune Cultural and Sports Center project started construction in June 2024, on a land area of nearly 30,000m2 , with a construction cost of over 9 billion VND supported by the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group and Dam Ha district. Right before the New Year of At Ty 2025, the project was completed and put into use to serve the traditional New Year activities of the majority of people in the commune. In the long term, this will be a place for community activities, creating a place to study, organize cultural activities, and sports competitions of the commune... Thereby contributing significantly to promoting cultural and social development, taking care of the spiritual life of the people. The practical meaning that the project brings makes the joy and excitement of the new year of the people of Quang An even more multiplied.
Over the years, Dam Ha district has always paid attention to leading and directing the investment, construction, management and improvement of the operational efficiency of cultural and sports institutions from communes, towns to villages, hamlets and neighborhoods, creating entertainment spaces in residential areas in accordance with the planning and conditions of each locality. This is also the foundation to help the district sustainably complete a number of difficult criteria in building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas. Currently, 100% of the villages, hamlets and neighborhoods have invested in building cultural houses, basically fully invested in equipment for activities and children's playgrounds, sports equipment and tools. At the same time, there is 1 district-level Ethnic Cultural Center that meets the standards of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; 1 district stadium and a number of sports halls; 8/8 communes and towns have stadiums, cultural post offices , and playgrounds for children; 3 tennis courts, 1 volleyball court; Heroic Martyr Ha Quang Voc Monument Park... In particular, the Central Square of Dam Ha district is being urgently completed, a project to welcome the 26th Dam Ha District Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
The district also regularly directs departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes and towns to pay attention to reviewing, including in planning, arranging capital sources according to their authority, or proposing to competent authorities to support funding for the construction of additional cultural facilities that are lacking. In addition, the investment in the construction of cultural facilities has been implemented in many forms, initially mobilizing the participation of organizations and individuals to invest in the construction of cultural and sports facilities. In the district, there are currently privately managed entertainment venues that are being effectively exploited, such as: Dam Ha swimming pool (Tan Hop village, Quang Tan commune) with a large area, airy, clean, beautiful campus, providing swimming services and organizing swimming lessons for about 400 people; 5 artificial turf football fields where village and neighborhood football teams regularly practice and exchange, and organize 3-5 tournaments annually...
In order for the cultural institution system to increasingly promote its effectiveness, in the coming time, Dam Ha district will continue to promote propaganda to raise awareness of all classes of people about the role and importance of developing cultural institutions in building grassroots cultural life. At the same time, strengthen inspection and supervision of the construction, exploitation and use of cultural and sports institutions, creating conditions for people to participate in creating, enjoying culture, preserving and promoting good traditional values, contributing to building a safe and healthy cultural environment. In addition to focusing on the construction and repair of cultural works, the district will also strengthen the management of cultural activities, cultural services, sports, business... will also be strengthened to create a healthy cultural environment.
