Dam Ha: Focusing on investing in and developing cultural institutions.

In order to continuously improve the quality of people's spiritual lives, Dam Ha district has consistently invested in and effectively utilized the system of cultural institutions in the area. This approach is also making a significant contribution to enriching the cultural values ​​of the land and people here.

The Quang An Commune Cultural and Sports Center project, commenced in June 2024 on a nearly ^30,000m² plot of land, was funded by the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group and Dam Ha District with over 9 billion VND. Just before the Lunar New Year of 2025, the project was completed and put into use to serve the traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations of the commune's residents. In the long term, it will be a venue for community activities, providing a place for learning, organizing cultural events, and sports competitions... This will significantly contribute to promoting cultural and social development and improving the spiritual lives of the people. The practical significance of the project further enhances the joy and excitement of the people of Quang An at the beginning of the new year.

Over the years, Dam Ha district has consistently focused on leading and directing the investment, construction, management, and improvement of the operational efficiency of cultural and sports facilities from communes and towns to villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods, creating recreational spaces in residential areas in accordance with the planning and conditions of each locality. This is also the foundation that helps the district sustainably complete some difficult criteria in building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas. Currently, 100% of villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods in the district have been invested in building cultural houses, basically fully equipped with operational equipment, children's playground equipment, and sports equipment and tools. At the same time, there is one district-level Ethnic Culture Center that meets the standards of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; one district stadium and several sports arenas; and all 8 communes and towns have stadiums, cultural post offices , and playgrounds for children. Three tennis courts, one volleyball court; a park commemorating the heroic martyr Ha Quang Voc... Notably, the central square of Dam Ha district is being urgently completed as a project to celebrate the 26th Congress of the Dam Ha District Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

The district also regularly directs departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of communes and towns to review, include in planning, and allocate funds according to their authority, or propose to competent authorities to support the construction of additional cultural facilities that are lacking. In addition, the investment in building cultural facilities has been implemented through various forms, initially mobilizing the participation of organizations and individuals in investing in the construction of cultural and sports facilities. Currently, there are privately managed recreational areas in the district that are being effectively utilized, such as: the Dam Ha swimming pool (Tan Hop hamlet, Quang Tan commune) with a large area, spacious, clean, and beautiful grounds, providing swimming services and swimming lessons for about 400 people; and 5 artificial turf football fields where hamlet and neighborhood teams regularly train and play, organizing 3-5 tournaments annually...

To further enhance the effectiveness of cultural institutions, in the coming period, Dam Ha district will continue to promote awareness among all segments of the population about the role and importance of developing cultural institutions in building grassroots cultural life. Simultaneously, it will strengthen inspection and supervision of the construction, exploitation, and use of cultural and sports facilities, creating conditions for people to participate in creating and enjoying culture, preserving and promoting good traditional values, and contributing to building a safe and healthy cultural environment. In addition to focusing on the construction and repair of cultural facilities, the district will also strengthen the management of cultural activities, cultural services, sports, and business activities to create a healthy cultural environment.
