My friend, Nguyen Minh from Dak Lak, and his family recently took a week-long trip to Phan Thiet, but upon returning, he regretted not having more time to stay longer. Minh recounted: "The kids love swimming in the sea, and my wife wakes up early every morning to sneak away from home to watch the fishermen pull in their nets at Da Ong Dia beach. The fresh, jumping fish that have just been untangled in the nets are so tempting that my wife doesn't hesitate to buy them. A video she filmed of herself sorting the fish and crabs that the fishermen had just pulled in, still crawling on the sand, went viral on Facebook, causing a stir among relatives and neighbors in Dak Lak and Dak Nong who placed orders to buy them... So my wife became the go-between, connecting dozens of relatives and neighbors to buy fresh seafood and send it up." Minh added: "In mountainous provinces, pulling in nets to catch fish is common, but few people imagine what it's like for fishermen to catch fish and crabs at sea. So when they saw the real images my wife filmed, everyone loved it." It was also from these images that my wife's cousin, upon seeing them, didn't hesitate to take his whole family to Phan Thiet to enjoy fresh seafood, directly from the sea, in the heart of the tourist city of Phan Thiet...

According to Nguyen Minh, Phan Thiet is undergoing rapid urbanization, but it is beautiful and peaceful. Previously, when I visited Phan Thiet, Le Duan Street hadn't been widened yet. Now, I see that the road in the city center has six lanes, giving Phan Thiet a very unique character. Minh also went to Tien Thanh to visit the Novaworld complex, and he commented that Phan Thiet is developing tourism professionally, in the right direction, and is a place that other provinces and cities should be wary of… Hearing Minh say this, I blurted out: So you're planning to invest in Phan Thiet? Minh honestly replied: Yes, I am. After this trip, my group of friends and I will return to Phan Thiet to invest, because Phan Thiet has great potential… During the 2023 National Tourism Year, "Binh Thuan – Green Convergence," Phan Thiet welcomed a large number of tourists. This is thanks to many factors, such as the two expressways, Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet – Dau Giay, which have been put into operation, making it easier for tourists to shorten their travel time to Phan Thiet. On the other hand, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with Phan Thiet city, organized many cultural, sports, and culinary events with programs that combined traditional and modern elements, attracting domestic and international tourists to visit, enjoy, and relax. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of visitors to the province in 2023 is estimated at 6.72 million (378.71% compared to 2021), and revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 16,500 billion VND, 396.8% compared to 2021. This is quite impressive because after the Covid-19 pandemic, domestic tourism activities were quite sluggish, but Binh Thuan has successfully made a breakthrough, with Phan Thiet being a bright spot.

The image of Phan Thiet as a tourist city has taken shape beautifully in the eyes of visitors. Phan Thiet will continue to develop, and hopefully, in the future, even more tourists will come to Phan Thiet…
