How to register a vehicle after July 1, 2025?

According to the instructions, all commune-level police and traffic police departments must register cars, specialized motorbikes, and motorcycles of domestic organizations and individuals with headquarters and residence in provinces and centrally-run cities.

People or organizations that need to register cars, motorbikes, and specialized motorbikes can choose to register their vehicles at the Traffic Police Department or any commune-level police station in the province or city where they reside.

For vehicles of confiscated origin must be registered at the Traffic Police Department.

Particularly for communes where a part of the administrative boundary is separated or merged with many new commune-level administrative units, while waiting for the completion of population data, vehicle registration for organizations and individuals in that commune will be carried out by the Traffic Police Department.

The Traffic Police Department said that the license plate symbols of the new provinces and cities include the license plate symbols of the merged localities.
