Tu Lan Ward: People donate land, join hands to expand traffic routes

BAC NINH - Faced with the reality that many residential areas, alleys, and small, degraded roads have become barriers to daily life and commerce, many households in Tu Lan ward have voluntarily donated land to open roads, joining hands to build their homeland to become more spacious and modern.

According to the leaders of Tu Lan ward, the movement of donating land to open roads continues to be maintained in the area. Previously, this movement was carried out in some villages (after merging Tu Lan commune into a ward, the villages into residential groups) and achieved positive results. People have raised awareness, seen the benefits of road expansion, so they continue to spread this movement.

People voluntarily dismantled the construction to donate land to widen the road.

Recently, at Alley Giua, Thuong residential group, 18 households voluntarily donated thousands of square meters of residential land, dismantled the surrounding wall and auxiliary works to widen the alley from more than 1 meter to 3.5 meters. Not only did they donate land, the households also contributed funds to rebuild the surrounding wall and auxiliary works for the affected households. This is a meaningful work, contributing to improving traffic infrastructure, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility to the community.

Along with the Middle Alley, at Cau Alley, three households including Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Xuyen, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Cu and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quang have set an example by donating nearly 90 square meters of residential land and removing auxiliary structures to widen the road which was only wide enough for two bicycles to pass each other. Now the road has been widened to 3.5 meters, allowing cars to move easily and conveniently.

The movement of donating land to open roads in Tu Lan ward has been well received by the people thanks to its transparent implementation following the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check, people benefit". Along with that, propaganda and mobilization work has been focused on, creating consensus among the people.
