Removing the "bottleneck" of Da Lat beltway

At the end of November 2025, the final section of the Da Lat beltway project continued to be implemented after a long period of "standing still" due to problems in site clearance. On weekends, excavators, bulldozers, and workers worked busily right after receiving the site from households to make efforts to complete the most beautiful road in Da Lat.

When completed, the Da Lat belt road will be the most beautiful road in the Da Lat area.

Vice Chairman of Cam Ly Ward People's Committee - Da Lat Nguyen Van Triem said that the Da Lat belt road project with a length of more than 7.4 km, starting point connecting with Truc Lam - Yen Tu road (at the intersection leading to Tuyen Lam lake, near Prenn pass, the end of the route connecting with Hoang Van Thu street and Tran Dinh Quan street (Cam Ly ward - Da Lat) with an investment capital of 870 billion VND, was implemented from July 2021. Accordingly, the roadbed is 20 m wide, the road surface is 14 m wide (4 lanes), the sidewalks on both sides are 3 m wide on each side.

According to the plan, the Da Lat belt road will be completed and put into use by the end of June 2023, then extended for the first time until the end of 2024 and the second time until December 2025. Although 7 km has been put into use, the final section of the route, about 400 m near the intersection of An Ton and Tran Dinh Quan streets, has not yet been opened. The completed sections have been paved with asphalt, sidewalks made, lane markings painted, signs and bright street lights installed to be ready for opening.

When implementing the project, the authorities have checked the current status of 157 households, individuals, 7 organizations and 1 religious facility. The People's Committee of the old Da Lat City has approved 21 decisions on compensation, support and resettlement plans with a total amount of more than 372 billion VND. Of which, more than 342 billion VND has been paid to 149 households and organizations, and the households and organizations have handed over the site for the unit to implement the project. However, due to problems in site clearance, after more than 4 years of construction and when handing over to Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat on July 1, 2025, there are still 8 households that have not agreed to hand over the site, making the road unable to be completed.

Faced with this reality, after the merger, the People's Committee of Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat has organized propaganda, mobilized, discussed and specifically explained the provisions of the law on compensation, support and resettlement for households with long-standing complaints, fully implementing the responsibilities of the commune-level government to the people in their locality. Thanks to persistent propaganda and persuasion, up to now, 7/8 households have agreed to hand over the site. Currently, only 1 household has agreed to hand over the site but is waiting for the decision on the resettlement price. When the decision is made, this household will receive the money and hand over the site.

Ms. Vu Thi Van Anh's household, An Ton Street (Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat) has a total land area recovered in the Da Lat belt road project of 227.6 m2 ; including 131 m2 of production and business land (granted a certificate of land use rights) and 96.6 m2 of agricultural land in the road planning (not yet granted a certificate of land use rights), the household has been approved for compensation and support with an amount of more than 2 billion VND. Ms. Van Anh said that she had not previously agreed to receive compensation and support and had not yet handed over the site because the land in the road was not compensated. Through the process of inspection, review, discussion and guidance, she understood and agreed on the contents, and agreed to withdraw the complaint and hand over the site.

Thanks to the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization, the Da Lat belt road project, which has been delayed for nearly 2 years, is now under construction again, with the highest effort to open the route as soon as possible.

During the site inspection of the uncleared area on the Da Lat beltway in August 2025, comrade Ho Van Muoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed relevant units to urgently and resolutely focus on site clearance work to soon complete the road.

The Da Lat Ring Road is a key project of the province with a large total investment. This is a very important route, when completed it will relieve traffic pressure for the central area of Da Lat, solving the problem of traffic jams in Da Lat, especially during holidays and Tet.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Create a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape

For many years, the Hoang Dieu planning area park has been a spontaneous parking place for tourist vehicles and large passenger vehicles entering the center of Da Lat. This has led to the gathering place of many subjects affecting local security and order. To solve this problem, the People's Committee of Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat has renovated this place into a park with a civilized, bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape for the locality.

On November 29, the People's Committee of Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat launched an environmental sanitation campaign, collected garbage, took care of flowers and planted 105 trees including purple phoenix flowers and cherry blossoms around the Hoang Dieu planning area park. Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat Che Cong Duc said: "The renovation of the Hoang Dieu planning area park aims to contribute to building a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment. Thereby, continuing to preserve and promote the beauty of Da Lat of thousands of flowers, green tourism, as well as achieving the goal of improving the landscape, improving the quality of life and developing tourism in the area".

In order for the movement “Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful” to spread and be effective, the residential groups and political and social organizations of the ward should develop a specific action plan. Each household and each person should start with small things such as keeping the front door clean, disposing of garbage properly, actively planting trees and ornamental flowers, creating a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape for their own home and neighborhood.

Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat has made efforts in site clearance, resolving long-standing problems as well as building a civilized, bright, green, clean and beautiful landscape. The positive and effective movements from the grassroots have clearly demonstrated the spirit of innovation, the grassroots government is increasingly closer to the people, more proactive and more decisive, towards sustainable development.
