The Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a training conference on Party inspection, supervision and discipline work.

On September 29, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a training conference on the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work. Comrade Nghiem Phu Cuong, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, was the reporter of the conference.

The conference was held both in person and online, with nearly 200 domestic delegates, connecting with 98 overseas locations.

In the country, the Conference took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , connected to the Office No. 2 Le Quang Dao, with the participation of members of the Standing Committee, members of the Party Executive Committee, representatives of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, leaders of units, specialized agencies advising and assisting the Party Committee of the Ministry, Party committees at all levels, and affiliated Party organizations.

At 98 overseas locations, comrades Secretaries, Ambassadors, Consuls General and Party organizations at Vietnamese representative agencies attended.

On behalf of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Commission, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs chaired the Conference.

In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Minh Vu affirmed that, strictly following President Ho Chi Minh 's teaching: "If you want to lead, you must inspect. If you do not inspect, it is considered as if you do not lead." The Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attaches great importance to the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work.

In the context that the majority of cadres doing inspection and supervision work at Party committees and organizations under the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hold part-time positions, the Party Committee of the Ministry has focused on strengthening training and fostering professional skills in inspection, supervision and Party discipline.

In order to help Party committees and organizations at all levels in the Party Committee grasp the regulations on inspection, supervision and discipline of the Party, the Party Committee of the Ministry has deployed many forms of dissemination, understanding of documents and integrating this content into the training and fostering classes of the Ministry.

With the specific characteristics of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs operating domestically and internationally, in 2025, the Party Committee of the Ministry organized two training conferences on inspection, supervision and Party discipline work in both direct and online forms, connecting to all Vietnamese representative agencies abroad.

At the training conference, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission Nghiem Phu Cuong thoroughly grasped the strategic instructions of General Secretary To Lam on the important role of inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement in leadership, Party building, maintaining discipline, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party.

He clearly stated the General Secretary's directions on five strategic tasks throughout the congress terms and six key tasks from now until the 14th Party Congress for the inspection sector and the Central Inspection Commission, and pointed out the requirements for regular supervision and digital transformation in the Party inspection sector in the new situation.

The conference took place online connecting with 98 overseas locations.

Also within the framework of the Conference, the Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission made a key presentation on the basic contents of Regulation No. 296-QD/TW, dated May 30 of the Central Executive Committee on the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work and Instruction No. 08-HD/TW, dated June 10 of the Secretariat implementing a number of contents of Regulation No. 296-QD/TW; new points of Regulation No. 296-QD/TW and Instruction No. 08-HD/TW.

He spent time answering 18 questions, including situational questions from the implementation of specific tasks of Party committees at all levels at home and abroad, thereby helping to unify the understanding of Regulation No. 296-QD/TW and Instruction No. 08-HD/TW, contributing to removing difficulties and obstacles in the process of performing inspection and supervision tasks, helping Party committees and organizations at all levels to grasp and properly implement Party regulations, avoid misunderstanding and improper application of regulations.

In his concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Commission, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed the honor of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs when the Central Inspection Commission paid attention and assigned the Deputy Chairman of the Commission to directly present at the training conference.

Through the introduction of the topic and answering questions at the Conference by the Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a deeper understanding of the expectations of General Secretary To Lam and our Party for the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work, meeting the requirements of leading the country in the new situation; the requirements for regular supervision in performing tasks, especially in implementing the Central's key resolutions on national development and the need to firmly grasp the Party's regulations, including Regulation No. 296-QD/TW and Instruction No. 08-HD/TW.

The Vietnamese representative agency in the United States attended the Conference online.

Due to the time zone difference, many Vietnamese representative agencies joined the Conference very early or very late. The Conference received serious and responsible responses from Party committees and organizations at all levels at home and abroad. Delegates highly appreciated the practical exchange content, timely resolution of problems, contributing to improving the effectiveness of inspection and supervision work, maintaining discipline and order in the entire Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
