“The most important thing is whether the film touches the viewers’ emotions or not,” director Victor Vu told the media at the premiere of the film Detective Kien: Headless Case in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of April 23.

The event gathered all members of the film crew, including: director Victor Vu and his wife and producer - actor Dinh Ngoc Diep, actor Quoc Huy, People's Artist My Uyen, Quoc Anh, Minh Anh, Anh Pham, Vo Dien Gia Huy, Tin Nguyen...
According to the director born in 1975, Detective Kien: The Headless Case is a long-standing wish because he has always wanted to make the first Vietnamese detective and historical film. He said that there are many reasons why he has only now been able to do it.
"If the audience really loves the character Detective Kien, Vu is very eager to continue the film's journey with Quoc Huy," he hinted about making a sequel.

In addition to director Victor Vu, the duo of actors who remained from The Last Wife , Quoc Huy and Dinh Ngoc Diep, also received much attention.
According to Quoc Huy, although this is the third time he has collaborated with director Victor Vu, this is the first time he has been assigned the main role in a film project. Quoc Huy admitted that he was quite excited, nervous and anxious before the film was officially released.
"Like Victor, Huy also wishes to be able to make a part 2 because this is a character he loves very much. Every day on set is a happy day when Huy gets to transform into Detective Kien," Quoc Huy shared.
Meanwhile, for Dinh Ngoc Diep, this project has her taking on a dual role: producer and main actress. She admits that she feels a lot of pressure.
As an actress, she admitted that she and Quoc Huy were very worried because they didn't know if they could "shoulder" the ability to sell tickets for the movie when they were no longer young faces.

However, she could not hide her happiness because since holding the script in her hand, this is a very long role, appearing from the beginning to the end of the film. "I did not think I would have such a long role. I tried to learn by reading many books, watching many movies, going to acting classes, practicing with actors so that when I got on set, I would be the best Hai Man", Dinh Ngoc Diep admitted.
Meanwhile, as an investor, she is even more worried about whether the film will be able to break even, especially during this year's holiday season when there is huge competition.
People's Artist My Uyen also admitted that, for herself, this is a pretty good role. However, the role in this film also makes her "lose sleep". The reason is that, the longer she works in the profession, the more pressure she feels when accepting any role.
From the stage of developing the script, working with the director and crew members until going to the set, she was conscious of every move, every move, every emotion...
Detective Kien: The Headless Case will have early screenings from 6pm on April 25 before officially opening in cinemas nationwide from April 30.
