Lemons are on sale at a significant discount.

Báo Cần ThơBáo Cần Thơ30/05/2026

(CT) - Prices of many types of lemons in the Mekong Delta have been continuously falling sharply in recent weeks and are currently at a fairly low level. Seedless purple and white lemons are being purchased by traders and wholesalers for only 8,000-13,000 VND/kg. This price is less than one-third of the price in March and April 2026 (33,000-38,000 VND/kg). The price drop is due to increased supply, while domestic and export demand for lemons has decreased compared to before.

Fertilizer prices tend to decrease.

(CT) - After a period of very high prices, the prices of many types of fertilizers in the Mekong Delta such as Urea, DAP, NPK... have now decreased by 10,000-30,000 VND/bag (50kg) compared to more than two weeks ago. Phu My Urea, Ninh Binh Urea, and many types of imported Urea from China are priced at 730,000-940,000 VND/bag; Ca Mau Urea is 960,000-980,000 VND/bag. The price of Ca Mau DAP, Con Co DAP, Russian DAP (black granules), Tuong Phong green DAP, and Hong Ha green DAP is 1,280,000-1,400,000 VND/bag. The price of NPK 20-20-15 Co Phap and Dau Trau is 1,050,000-1,105,000 VND/bag. Prices have decreased due to abundant supply and a downward trend in global fertilizer prices. However, current fertilizer prices remain significantly higher than in previous years.

Black snail prices increase.

(CT) - Currently, the price of black snails sold in many localities in the Mekong Delta has increased by about 5,000 VND/kg compared to previous months. Black snails of the 15-20 snails/kg size are purchased by traders at 55,000-60,000 VND/kg; those of the 25-35 snails/kg size are priced at 40,000-50,000 VND/kg. Retail prices at many markets and seafood businesses range from 45,000-90,000 VND/kg, depending on the type. The price increase is due to limited supply, while the amount of snails caught in the wild is not abundant. Currently, most black snails sold on the market are farmed snails.
