Accordingly, this gas station partially opened the fence to let motorbikes in to fill up with gas. Ms. NTNH (71 years old), the owner of the store, was the one who directly sold the gas to customers. At nearly 11 o'clock the same day, a young man wearing a blue T-shirt came to replace Ms. H. to fill up gas for customers.

At about 4:15 p.m. the same day, Mr. Dinh Cong Hiep, Vice Chairman of Long Hai Town People's Committee, and a lieutenant of Long Hai Town Police rode a motorbike to Ms. H's gas station to check.

Discovering that the gas station was open for business, Mr. Dinh Cong Hiep stood outside using his cell phone to record the scene, but Ms. H. immediately came from inside the gas station, snatched the phone, and slammed it on the street. The incident was witnessed by many passersby.

Speaking with Thanh Nien reporter on the afternoon of March 16, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van, Chairman of Long Hai Town People's Committee, said that the incident in which the vice chairman of the town People's Committee had his phone snatched and broken by Ms. H. while this officer was filming an illegally operating gas station is being investigated by the police.

On the same afternoon, Long Hai Town Police also sent a letter inviting Ms. H. to come to the police headquarters to work.

Business license revoked for many years but still operating secretly

As Thanh Nien has reported many times, Hoang Hao gas station has had its business license revoked by authorities for many years but is still operating secretly.

In mid-February 2024, Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters repeatedly recorded that this gas station was still openly open and selling gas to customers. After receiving the information, at noon on February 16, Long Dien District Police coordinated with functional forces to inspect this gas station.

Long Dien District Police asked the owner of Hoang Hao petrol station, Ms. NTNH, to present her business license as well as documents related to the operation of the station. However, Ms. H. did not cooperate, used disrespectful words to the members of the inspection team, and destroyed property at the station. More seriously, Ms. H. pulled the fence at the petrol station to "lock" the police force on duty. Ms. H. repeatedly asked the force on duty to "call the police and the chairman up here...".

Long Dien District Police repeatedly reminded Ms. H. to open the door for the inspection team to leave, claiming that Ms. H.'s actions were illegal detention, but the store owner still refused to open the door for the team to leave. It was not until the leaders of Long Hai Town People's Committee and Long Hai Town Police arrived at the scene and asked Ms. H. to open the door for the inspection team to leave that the store owner agreed.

Long Dien District Police have drawn up a record of the incident and an administrative violation record, requiring Ms. H. to immediately stop operating the gas station, but Ms. H. did not sign the records.

On February 19, Long Hai Town People's Committee and Long Dien District Police worked with Ms. H., urging her not to sell gasoline at the store without permission from the authorities. During the working process, Ms. H. also received a decision to temporarily suspend her activities from Long Dien District Police.

The decision to temporarily suspend the operation of Long Dien District Police is valid for 30 days, starting from February 16. Long Dien District Police requested Ms. H. to comply with the requirements on ensuring fire prevention and fighting safety at Hoang Hao gas station.

After that, Ms. H. closed and stopped operating this gas station and now continues to secretly open it for business.
