On March 16th, a reporter from Thanh Niên newspaper discovered that despite the Long Dien District Police having previously issued a temporary suspension order against the Hoang Hao gas station on Vo Thi Sau Street, Long Hai Town (Long Dien District), it continued to operate and sell gasoline to customers.

Ms. H. continued selling gasoline directly to customers even though the gas station had been temporarily suspended from operation by the Long Dien District Police.

The deputy mayor smashed his phone when he was filmed.

Accordingly, the gas station partially opened its gate to allow motorbikes to enter and refuel. Ms. NTNH (71 years old), the owner of the station, was the one directly selling fuel to customers. Around 11 a.m. that same day, a young man wearing a blue t-shirt came to replace Ms. H. in refueling customers.

At approximately 4:15 PM on the same day, Mr. Dinh Cong Hiep, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Hai Town, along with a police lieutenant from Long Hai Town, arrived on a motorbike in front of Ms. H.'s gas station to conduct an inspection.

Upon discovering the gas station was open for business, Mr. Dinh Cong Hiep stood outside and filmed it with his mobile phone. Immediately, Ms. H. came out of the gas station, snatched his phone, and smashed it forcefully onto the road. The incident was witnessed by many passersby.

Speaking with a Thanh Niên reporter on the afternoon of March 16, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Hai Town, said that the incident in which the deputy chairman of the town's People's Committee had his phone snatched and damaged by Ms. H. while he was filming an illegally operating gas station is currently under investigation by the police.

Later that same day, the Long Hai Town Police also sent a letter inviting Ms. H. to the police station for questioning.

Despite having their business license revoked many years ago, they continue to operate secretly.

As Thanh Nien newspaper has repeatedly reported, the Hoang Hao gas station had its business license revoked by authorities many years ago but continued to operate secretly.

In mid-February 2024, reporters from Thanh Nien Newspaper repeatedly observed this gas station brazenly continuing to operate and sell gasoline to customers. After receiving this information, on the afternoon of February 16th, the Long Dien District Police, in coordination with other functional forces, inspected the gas station.

The police in Long Dien District requested that Ms. NTNH, the owner of Hoang Hao gas station, present her business license and other relevant documents. However, Ms. H. refused to cooperate, used disrespectful language towards the inspection team members, and vandalized property at the gas station. More seriously, Ms. H. pulled down the gate at the gas station, trapping the police officers inside. Ms. H. repeatedly demanded that the officers "call the police, the chairman to come here…".

The police in Long Dien District repeatedly reminded Ms. H. to open the door for the inspection team to leave, stating that her actions constituted unlawful detention, but the shop owner still refused to comply. It wasn't until the leaders of the Long Hai Town People's Committee and the Long Hai Town Police arrived at the scene and demanded that Ms. H. open the door for the inspection team to leave that the shop owner finally agreed.

The police in Long Dien District recorded the incident and the administrative violation, ordering Ms. H. to immediately cease her gas station business, but Ms. H. refused to sign the records.

The gas station's barrier was open for customers to come and refuel.

On February 19th, the People's Committee of Long Hai Town and the Police of Long Dien District worked with Ms. H., urging her to cease selling gasoline at her store until she received permission from the authorities. During the process, Ms. H. also received a decision from the Long Dien District Police temporarily suspending her business operations.

The police in Long Hai town came to deliver a letter inviting Ms. H. to the police station for questioning.

The decision to temporarily suspend operations by the Long Dien District Police is for a period of 30 days, starting from February 16th. The Long Dien District Police requested Ms. H. to comply with the requirements for ensuring fire safety at the Hoang Hao gas station.

Later, Ms. H. closed down the gas station, ceasing operations, but has now secretly reopened it for business.
