Laying the foundation for standardizing heart valve disease treatment in Vietnam

For the first time in Vietnam, a specialized forum on transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI) will be held, opening up expectations for shaping a synchronous, effective and safe treatment direction for heart valve disease.

The Vietnam Valves 2025 scientific conference, organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, the Vietnam National Association of Cardiology and Yonsei University (Korea), will take place on July 11-12 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Vietnam Valves 2025 Conference brings together leading domestic and foreign experts, with the goal of updating medical advances, sharing practical experiences, and aiming to build the first professional recommendations in Vietnam on TAVI technique.

Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Nguyen Hoang Bac, Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, emphasized that Vietnam Valves 2025 is the first conference to gather experts on TAVI technique.

Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Nguyen Hoang Dinh, Deputy Director of the Hospital shared that the conference is not only an update, but also a multi-specialty, multi-generational connection point, to standardize heart valve treatment, aiming at patients.

Vietnam Valves 2025 is expected to be an in-depth, highly applicable academic forum, contributing to expanding access to TAVI techniques and promoting professional consensus in the treatment of heart valve diseases in Vietnam - a new step in the journey of standardization, modernization and patient-centeredness in cardiovascular treatment strategies.
