Viettel has overcome challenges both domestically and internationally to make 2024 a successful year in all areas, affirming its stature as a pioneering and leading corporation in the digital era - a source of pride for Vietnam and its people on the world map.

1. Viettel welcomed many high-ranking leaders of the Party and State.

General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, awarded the Second Class Labor Order to Unitel and Metfone.

In Burundi, Viettel is the first and only network operator to be granted free 5G trial frequency licenses by the government .

In 2024, despite continuing to face political instability, high inflation, and exchange rate fluctuations, Viettel's service revenue from international markets increased by 17.3%, contributing 80% to the Group's overall growth and exceeding the global average by more than seven times. This marks the eighth consecutive year of double-digit growth for Viettel's overseas markets. The e-wallet service continued to be a breakthrough highlight, particularly in Africa, contributing over 20% of the additional revenue.

7. Opening of Vietnam's largest data center.

The Viettel Hoa Lac data center has commenced operations with 60,000 servers, over 2,400 racks, 21,000m2 of floor space, and a capacity of 30MW.

Viettel's cybersecurity team has won the championship for the second time at Pwn2Own, the world's largest cybersecurity competition.

Viettel is the only Vietnamese company on the list and impressed with its efforts to improve the quality of education through its school internet project in Vietnam and 10 overseas markets. In 2024, Brand Finance also announced that Viettel has been the most valuable brand in Vietnam for nine consecutive years, and is also the number one telecommunications brand in Southeast Asia, ranking 9th in Asia and 16th globally.
